While I feel the DMX album as a whole was worse, I think it definetly had more stand out tracks than Port of Miami. Rick Ross's album is more well rounded in my eyes but lacks much needed breakaway tracks. What do yall think?
-
I agree with you. Still havent decided which one is better: Obie or Ross
-
im not even gonna bother with DMX's new shit. As for ross or obie, i havnt even fully listened to them yet. Im guessing obies is the better album because rick ross cant rap for shit. But just skimming through obies, compared to cheers its kinda dissapointing. but that is what i have come to expect nowdays with rap albums.

obie, he already got cheers put out in 2003 which was tight as hell, and his new album is banging too ;D

Cheers was great but this is wack.

Rick Ross can't rap.. some good beats though, DMX one is aight, nothing more but I still go with X
-
Im not really into the Ross, Obie or the new DMX......Out of those 3 Id have to say Port Of Miami is the best one.....I cant even listen to YOTD....Again.......that album is terrible IMO
-
Can I say neither? lol
-
I like DMX but I dont think his new shit could be better than Rick Ross shit.
-
both crappy albums both deleted already
-
I deleted both albums as soon as i got done listening to both.
Although, "Push It" is banging. The beat samples the 'Scarface' theme.
-
how can you even compare the two? they're two totally different rappers
-
Aside from DMX's album which I haven't given a full listen yet, I think between Obie and Ross; Port of Miami is the better album. I feel so bad for Obie because I don't think he will do that well with his album. It feels as if theres alot missing, and the Em production is downright cheap. It also sucks that Dre could'nt at least contribute 1 beat to Obie. On the other hand, Port of Miami is a pretty good album. Rick's lyrics are definitely average and tacky but the instrumentals are simply awesome. If there ever was a Scarface sequel or prequel lol the instrumentals on this album would be a perfect score for that movie.

you cant fuck with the dark man, he fucks with you, in jail nigga! arrf!
-
X is one of my top 5 fave rappers but YOTD isn't as good as Port of Miami
-
I haven't heard Year Of The Dog, Again yet, I have to buy that album to support my dawg X, but Port Of Miami is bangin', I was surprised, this is definitely an album i'm gonna bang in the ride
-
I havnt heard Port of Miami
-
fuck rick ross.
-
Port Of Miami for the beats. But I agree with Suckaa Free once again.
-
Ross
-
Az a true 50 Cent Fan I Must addmit that I'm so shocked AND Impressed with DMX's Lyrical abilities, I' have a felling Year Of The Dod will be great, and Ross will probable be good to, But I think X got him, but who knows ???
-
^^^I Know....
Trust me "Year of the Dog" isn't that good, not as good as I would expect from 'X'. "Grand Champ" is ALOT better than "Year of the Dog"
