Me too. Seems like every year Quik tells us he's going to release an album, then never does, thought for sure last summer, he had that single out and everything. Hopefully Jason Martin can keep him on track this time.

This moment will be the legendary. The album we crafted together, with the help of @jayworthy
, will restore the feeling that's been missing from California music as a whole. Everything from the production to the features were created in 30 days. This isn't about art. This isn't about numbers. This is about two Compton powerhouses joining forces one more time to give the city some fire ass music!! The album release date, cover art, bts, videos, merchandise collaborations, and tour dates will be announced. 1st single coming in 3 weeks.

Not surprised this didn't come out, whats the point in announcing a single is going to drop 3 weeks ahead of time and then a month later its still not out?

Quik did the same thing last year. Did drop a single and promised all year his album was dropping that summer and never did. Now this year same thing is happening. I don't know if this is some kind of game with him at this point where he likes to fuck with his fans or if there's some sort of bigger emotional issues with him and his music, but it's very frustrating.

Quik just posted a snippet of the song on his Instagram. It's got Game rapping his verse. The beat is from the 2pac song Heartz of Men, which Quik produced. Sounded ok but is only about 10 seconds of it.

seems like he's sampling himself but beat is updated and it sounds nice. no surprise as the original is a classic, will need to hear the full track...

I agree, i'll hold judgement til i hear the whole song. It definitely is a classic beat and i like it, and it there's a switch up or a modern enhancement of it, that might work. Hard to get an idea of the flow of the song with that short of a snippet.

I hate to see Quik reduced to rehashing classic bests of his from nearly 30 years ago.
I didn’t love the subject matter or rapping, but I thought the production on Class was amazing and was hoping he’d keep going in that direction.
High hopes for the collabo with Problem being as the first one was a near-classic, but I don’t love what I’m hearing so far

I like it…. As a throwback cut. I remember listening to All Eyez on Me for the first few spins and Heartz of Men was a favourite.
It does sound dated, but I think thats the idea (ie. Str8 outta Compton flow).
Hopefully there’s a fresh sound for the rest of the album.

Hoping for some originality on the rest of the tracks. I'm all for sampling tracks and/or reworking them but the first two songs released felt like they copied and pasted the beats.

Agreed- the production on Class was incredible. So far, these two songs ain’t it. And maybe I’m in the minority, but more than one Game feature is overkill (especially cuz he’s riding with Drake over Kendrick lol)

Oh yes, i do like the sound of this! I hope there is actual rapping on it and not just an interlude or people talking over it. This is what I wanted the whole album to sound like. Why can't he release an album with 16 tracks that sound just like this, instant hit. This is the classic Quik sound!

I loved Rosecrans and the production was varied…hopefully we see that on this album. My favourite track on Rosecrans wasn’t typical Quik production…just a quality song: You Are Everything.
When Quik goes the soul sample route he’s amazing (Black Friday also) so I hope to see him do that on this album.
