propz!! gonna take a listen now
-
flawless track this in my oppinion, great song.
5 star. easy
rae comes on point with lyircs and flow on the beat, nates hook is as what you would expect. and the warren g seems right on this beat.
really cant knock this, best iv heard ina while, good energy on this track.
-
Well, to be realistic we've heard better Nate hooks and the beat is too noisy. But I really liked Warren's and Rae's verses.
-
great track! thanks! I will be celebratin Nate's birthday with this joint :)
-
now this song is fukkin dope! this is the type of song warren should be using for his single, and not crush or swagger rich, lol. he shouldnt've even put those two songs on the album in the first place, coz they're so wack.
anyways, this song is dope as fukk. warren still got it
-
Decent track, a lot better than some of the other Warren G tracks that are supposed to be on that album.
-
this is a very radio friendly song, and i could see this song being played in the clubs and goin off. this song has huge potential to blow up as a single
-
wish warren would stick to this formula instead of the other stuff
-
props for this
-
song was posted on youtube aswell....
http://www.youtube.com/v/i2P2jA7-sj4
-
Fucking dope track!!! I miss hearing Nate Dogg, I hope we get to hear more of him in the future. G Dub album might come out pretty good 8)
-
this is dope
fuck akon
and g-dubb back on his regulatin mission
-
song of the month
with snoop as 213
SONG OF THE YEAR
snoop has 2 flow on this beat

-

-

-
damn that shit is tite..... i miss nate dogg..... fuck the rest, we need the king of hooks back!!!
-
sickkkkkkk....Chef sounds tight on this beat too
i'm stoked for this album. thanks for this...
-
Quik mixed this track!
source?
-
^^
yeh thats the first time i heard of that.
-
this was very likely a raekwon track originally. it's quite obvious from the start where he says 'you laced me man' and has the first verse...
-
damn, there goes warren again givin away the handful of songs with nate hooks he recorded with nate before the first stroke.
first it was one that he gave to bishop lamont for his album, and now givin "100 miles & runnin" to raekwon. luckily it didnt end up happenin. maybe raekwon wasnt goin to use it for his album, so warren decided to use it for himself. warren needs to quit givin away those nate hooks to other artists. it sounds like warren is desperate, and is givin his prized possesions to other artists in order to get on their albums. warren's got no shame. nate might not be able to record any new hooks ever again because of his condition, and warren wants to waste them few unheard nate hooks on other peoples albums. real fukkin shame. nate recorded those hooks for warren and not bishop lamont, jay z or eminem, ffs!
-
yeah thats crazy
after he recorded wit ray j...that was a all time low for someone who had released a dope album a few years ago (ROTR)
money is the root of all evil

Actually you're all wrong.
This was originally a Black Nic song with Nate Dogg on the hook, same beat same hook, Warren played it for me in his studio in L.A. in the summer of 2007. They took Black Nic off and Warren and Raekwon jumped on it.
-
nah i still believe in what i said
warren should have never recorded wit ray j....that was a all time low tryna reach that type of crowd
you cant release RETURN OF THE REGULATOR and then be that desperate (jus like the res) and try and have ray j save you!!
thats a huge fuck you to the fans that have been down wit him since "regulate"
either come thru wit what your good at or dont come thru at all
and yeah iron mike is talkin bout what warren has been doin
i remember him talkin bout this a while back in the other g-dubb threads cuz he was droppin that wack shit
i mean people thought in the mid night hour was good or actually dope?
thats suicidal comparin to what g-dubb can and has done
-
so far this is the best song ive heard from G Filez . hope the rest of it sounds good . to me he has 2 classics and a very underrated album under his belt . Regulate G Funk Era , I Want It All and Take A look Over Your Shoulder is underrated to me .
-

ok then. swap raekwon with "blac nic" , and you got the same scenario with warren doin dumb shyt by shamelessly givin away hooks by nate that he recorded with warren FOR warren, before nate had the first stroke, and are maybe the last hooks we'll ever hear of nate again.
blac nic is wack as fukk. it should be a crime for warren to give those last prized nate hooks that were recorded for warren, to this bum.
these last nate hooks should be kept for warren's future albums only.
-
Ok so now what is the issue or problem if the song is appearing on Warren's project?
-
^^
no one has an issue with the song appearing on warren's project. that was never questioned.
what was questioned is warren givin away songs with nate hooks on them, which nate recorded for warren before he had the stroke, to other artists for their albums.
-
Regulate G Funk Era , I Want It All and Take A look Over Your Shoulder is underrated to me .
Can't be too underrated if all 3 of those have been certified Gold (IWIA) & Platinum (RGFE 3x, TALOYS) ::)
-
its good that warren is keeping this for his own project, but he could at least take off the intro where raekwon is thanking him for the beat, or put his own verse first, so it actually sounds like his own track.
-
No waiting time

-
meh, i was expecting something better.
hopefully it will grow
-
DAMN, This song came outta nowhere.. Gonna check it out right now - propz 8)!
-
+1, nice track from GDUB
-
its good that warren is keeping this for his own project, but he could at least take off the intro where raekwon is thanking him for the beat
LOL ;D
-
Quik mixed this track!
No shit? What a killa combination
-
Best track that have leaked so far. Good to hear Nate Dogg, even though it's an old hook.
-
quite nice... but it hasn't got THAT THING fo me to be honest...
-
Best track that have leaked so far. Good to hear Nate Dogg, even though it's an old hook.
but it might as well be brand new, since its never been heard before.
-
shit is dope...nate kill's it..like always 8)
-
Best track that have leaked so far. Good to hear Nate Dogg, even though it's an old hook.
but it might as well be brand new, since its never been heard before.
Yeah, but it ain't. Warren G said it's a bit old. Nate Dogg can't sing right now.
-
dope track, but didn't warren say they couldn't get the sample cleared for the album?
-

The point is: what's the difference to you? Do you think songs are recorded the day before the album is released? Somethimes, songs and whole albums get shelved for months and years before the see the light of day. The fact is that nobody would have known about it if Nate hadn't had the strokes.
dope track, but didn't warren say they couldn't get the sample cleared for the album?
That was for Gigolos Get Lonely 2.
-
dope track, but didn't warren say they couldn't get the sample cleared for the album?
That was for Gigolos Get Lonely 2.
I thought it was Mr. DJ?
-

you're right, it was Mr. DJ
-
Gotta agree with the crowd, track sounds cool. Hearing new Nate vocals kinda bums me out though, knowing his condition now...
-
This track makes me want to have an album from The Regulators. Nate on the hooks, Warren behind the boards and a few guests. Instant gold.
-

exactly what i was about to say +1
as far as i'm concerened it aint old, until it has been leaked for some time .
ofcourse you can tell if some songs are old by the style of the song sounding out of date, but yeh
dope track, but didn't warren say they couldn't get the sample cleared for the album?
That was for Gigolos Get Lonely 2.
I thought it was Mr. DJ?
you're right, it was Mr. DJ
its a shame that "gigolos get lonely 2" & "mr dj" wont be on the album, but terrible songs like crush, swagger rich & ringtone will be. oh well...

This is a joke. Warren G can do a song with Ray J and all of a sudden it's the end of the world? Shit, Crooked I and Yukmouth did the song with Ray J for Yuk's album and I don't remember hearing all this nonsense about how Yuk and Crook reached a new low. Shit, he is singing a hook. I guess it woulda been better if he did the same song, with a no name artist singin the hook? Obviously you all woulda loved the track then right?
Come on. Ray J had a #1 hit in the country shortly before they did this track. You tellin' me you would pass up a hook by the guy knowin he just went #1 on the billboard charts? I don't think so.
The beat is why i dont like the song, has nothin to do with Ray J.
And since when is everyone actin like Nate is the best thing to ever happen to Warren?
True enough, Regulate sold 4 mill and Nate was on the single. But even Take a Look over your shoulder sold 1 million (even though it was only certified gold), and I Want It All sold half a million. Singles like This DJ, I Shot the Sheriff, I Want It All all went gold with no Nate.
Meanwhile, Nate relied on Warren G's name for Nobody does it better which did hit the top 25 on the billboard pop charts. You think it goes that high without Warren on the track? Not at all.
Heck, support Warren G, support Nate. They are equals to me. But it's quite obvious that one has had a much more successful solo career than the other so actin like that with the hate is unwarranted.
-
The G Files is going to be monster.
-
Dope track, Nate sounding smooth as usual...
-

i dont give a fukk if warren wants to work with pop artists, but just as long as its on their albums, and not on warren's albums. they should of put that crush song on ray j's album instead.
i dont like the beat to crush either. i think part of the reason why its weak is because it was co-produced by warren's rnb prodeje by joonie.
And since when is everyone actin like Nate is the best thing to ever happen to Warren?

yeh, but nate makes his bread and butter from doing the hooks for thousands of tracks for other peoples singles and albums.
i believe nate is much much more financially successful than warren. everybody is tryin to get nate do a hook on their album, but nobody is tryin to get warren on their album, or do a beat for their album. not even warren's best friend snoop has got warren to do a beat for any of his albums. dont understand why though, coz he dope, but nate is more popular and successful.

Take A Look Over Your Shoulder was underrated dude . did you not read the whole post ?
-
anybody got "swagger Rich"-mp3.
Props!
-
damn this is the shit. this trak is old so its bound to be a good trak, shame this beat wasnt made recently. widh the whole album could sound like this
-
this trak is old so its bound to be a good trak
That's a depressing mentality
-
the ttl records website still hasnt been updated since the end of last year. thats pretty poor.
seems like ttl records ( ttlrecords.com (http://www.ttlrecords.com) ) is just plain absolute distribution, and absolutely nothing more than that.
so i guess warren got to do all the promo himself.
guess thats why warren put up his own website ( warrengeezy.com (http://www.warrengeezy.com)) to promote his album, plus he got his myspace page for promotion aswell, and i guess ustream, youtube, facebook, twitter aswell.
-
ray j wasnt anywhere near warrens success until recently cuz he wants to sell out jus like everyone else is doin otherwise warren can do this on his own
who gives a fuck if ray had a number 1 hit?
his number 1 hit was for girls? and thats what warren was tryna get outta it, so it is a sell out
btw IMO the reason the ray j/warren gets more hate than the yuk/ray j song is cuz warren is more important and is wanted more than yuk.
if its somethin like what ray j did on godzilla...then aite but damn
FOR SOMEONE LIKE G-DUBB THAT HAD A NUMBER 1 HIT OVER A DECADE TO GO GET AT SOMEONE LIKE RAY J THAT HAS A NUMBER 1 HIT CUZ OF HIM SELLIN OUT AND HE ISNT NOWHERE NEAR DOPE...IS SAD AS FUCK FOR THIS COAST
nah i still believe in what i said
warren should have never recorded wit ray j....that was a all time low tryna reach that type of crowd

Maybe in 1994 an album like that would be super dope, but in 2009 this would be only a 'good' record.. sadly.
The G Files is going to be monster.
Maybe solid but def not a monster..
-
i got this joint on repeat. bring on tha g-files! 8)
-
Any final tracklist leak yet for the album? This joint is a monster.
-
not yet
-
http://www.amazon.com/The-G-files-Explicit/dp/B002MHV2YW/ref=mb_oe_o
that's a link on amazon that has snippets. weak. weak. weak. only 13 songs. and the west is back song he isn't even in, as he already said. add to that, both crush and ringtone are on it which are relatively old. and on top of that, suicide with rbx is the same fucking song from 2004! how the fuck is he gonna include a 5 year old song on a new album? what the fuck.
sorry, but whoever said g files is gonna be a monster, this is proof that its gonna be a monster pile of shit. very disappointed.
-
we've heard half the album already. so were supposed to go out and buy this for 6 songs?
-
Fucked up before its release date... what a disapointement... I had a doubt regarding "Suicide" with RBX but damn thats right its the same one from 2003's True Crimes Videogame soundtrack..... and damn all the songs sound the same and its fucking average :-X
-
album sounds pretty dope from snippets, can't wait to buy my copy
i dont understand all this hate about this album, to me it's a good product
-
wow, all those songs are weak as fukk, except "100 miles n runnin" , "lets get high", and that old ass 6 year old recycled song "suicide" , better known as "we came here to ride" , from the true crimes soundtrack.
i remember hearin some different tracks being played on warren's ustream videos that sounded dope as fukk, but for some reason they are not on the album. and no, i am not talking about "gigolos get lonely 2" or "mr dj" .
worst warren g album to date.
-
judging by the snippets, 'lets get high' > the whole album, by a long way.
-
Album looks and sounds dope as fuck
-
yeh the snippets are tight...its soundz way betta than in the midnite hour.. will get this but why isnt mr dj on it thou? that shit was tightttt
-
this shit is amazing!!!
-
album is a monster!
-
let's get high sound real good
overall, through snippets, it's not as bad as I thought it would be
