Anybody at this point. It don't matter. As long as someone is out there doing shit. But if I were to pick I'd go with G-Malone. Not only does that nigga know good rap, but he knows the music industry too.

Say what you want about Snoop, but he's always putting it down for the West. What the west needs is a young snoop.

DAZ DILLINGER/DJ WARRIOR/DJ STRONG JOIN FORCES!!!
Los Angeles, California, January 13, 2005- Daz Dillinger, Big A and the entire label are proud to announce that he has officially made DJ Strong and DJ Warrior his official DJs. This is a clear sign that this new movement plans on being a serious contender for years to come. Daz Dillinger explains, "G.A.R. is a serious label, we plan on developing and becoming the next Aftermath Records one day. We are making moves to align with new artists, new corporate consulting firms, and new staff. Myself and Big A have chosen to really create a powerful brand this year." Dillinger continues, "And who could promote this brand better than the biggest DJs in the West? DJ Strong and DJ Warrior?".

Although other DJs were in the running, this was a label decision and a joint decision that has resounded with the whole label. Big A explains, "I am glad that they are on board. We are going to get them all the official music, exclusive behind the scenes and invaluable footage. We are serious in '06, and we are only dealing with those who are just as serious if not more than us." Shemia Miller further explains, "I am glad that they are on the team. They are a very much value added asset to this label. Anyone who doesn't know them in California, or on the West Coast, must've been sleeping under a rock, or have been in a coma. That's just how prevalent these two DJs are in the Hip Hop culture, especially the West Coast."

DJ Strong and DJ Warrior are expected to head up the first official mixtapes which will include the new potential artists, and finalists: Chaotic, Meko, Brian Taylor, Dangerous Rob, J-Tripz, and Lix. DJ Strong and DJ Warrior will also get exclusive drops on any So So Def material and songs that are currently scheduled for Daz Dillinger. This dynamic duo are expected to further brand the label with the biggest West Coast comeback for Young Gotti's upcoming release: Yes Im Quiccer, released March 7, 2006.

Yeah, that's how we fell the fuck off in the first place...cause we kept making the same shit over and over.  That's why your hero Daz ain't nothing but a has-been who's releasing independent albums and claiming he ain't popular simply because he refuses to go pop...never mind that 10 years ago, his shit WAS considered pop.

I saw "we" loosely, 'cause I don't live in the West anymore.

snoop doggy dogg

Hey, Snoop helped making the C-walking shit popular in the mainstream around 2000-01, which is the closest the West came to a resurrgence before Game.

it's still on Crooked I, but this really is his last year to put Boss Music out there. He's the most versatile, and he can certainly make a club banger, (Boom Boom Clap), just like he can drop real street music too.

G.Malone and Dirty Birdy got skills, and O.Cruz too.

There'z a gang of muthafuckaz out here on the Westcoast who got more talent than 90% of the rappers we see being played on the radio and broadcasted on the television networks. It ain't no secret. To me it comes down to the producers on top, like (Dre, Battecat, E-A-Ski,...Jellyroll..Lil Jon..and whoever the fuck yall know are runnin this rap game.) to give these hungry young artists the chance they need to light the muthafuckin scene on fire. We need honesty, talent, hunger, and real skills to run this shit worldwide, not only here on the west. But nah, they look for the "hottest lookin punk who got the sexy voice and sex appeal. It'z all about lookin good on that video with the bangin, simple ass beat bumpin on the back.
We all know we can take it worldwide...it'z all up to us as fans to change that.
And until the westcoast artists unite to put real shit out there, sit back and enjoy ya Lil Jon featurin Mase, Mobb Deep and the Ying Yang Twinz with the entire Eastcoast on a track. They runnin it!

(No disrespect to U eastcoast-artists lovin peepz...i'm only puttin it the way we see it here on the west.)

Sorry... But Tray Deee is well into his 30s. Dude is NOT what the West needs. I think he's dope on the mic, but the West NEEDS to get away from the 90s G-Funk image people still have of us. Nobody's riding Lowriders no more. Gang culture isn't as high as it once was. The whole Zapp/Parliment-Sampling sound died years ago. We need artists that will re-invent our image to the mainstream... Tray Deee won't be that artist.

bishop lamont (hes fire- nothin else to be said), dr. dre (after snoop is the most influential man on the left, everyones waitin for detox to drop), and blunts lla (if u aint heard him, you best go check this dude out, cus he spits fuckin razorblades). DPGC (snoop, gotti, daz, nate, etc.) would be nice to see burstin bak on the seen, but them dogs have had their day. welcome to tha chuuch more or less flopped, altho the tha saga continuez was aight. bottomline: with the exception of dre, the west gotta get new blood up in there to bang out a new image, cus hate it or love it gfunks loooong dead. and the mainstream-ish hyphy now is just... not good... lil jon + e-40 = my ears are bleeding.
