Back on a serious note.. they should have ejected Shaq. The kid really did nothing wrong, he was just celebrating the dunk.

If it was the other way around Bynum would have been ejected, no doubt. But Shaq deserves more respect. There's no way a '87 rookie who gets like 3 mins a game is supposed to provoke a legend like Shaq.
-
Bynum did nothing. Stop defending the impossible just to hate on the Lakers, please. It's pathetic. Shaq had to be ejected. Period.
-
lol looked like Bynum pushed his dad and got it ;D

yeah, but if u watched the game....Bynum did hit Shaq with that little elbow first.

LOL...COME ON...Sure, he got a little excited, but he was just getting rough, tell me you haven't seen bigs rough eachother up like that after a play...But to throw an elbow into the face of a fuckin' child, that's just ridiculous...I mean, I'm sure Shaq was mad, he just got dunked on by a kid, but if he woulda' just shoved him back, it woulda' been a little more appropriate.

man stop acting like bynum is a lil ass kid cuzz,he in a grown man world,i'm the biggest laker fan but yall killing me with this bullshit, bynum ain't crying about it so let it go and celebrate the fact that the kid got some heart and is gonna anchor our defense for years to come yell

That's not the point, the point is that Shaq got bailed out by the NBA, once again...
-
you remember the time when he almost punched that bulls center a hole in the head.. he didnt aim well enough but if he had hit him dude would be retarded now
he got 3 games for that LOL
-
didnt Bynum say something like "Im the new Shaq" after he was drafted? I think I remember hearing something like that. Anyway, Shaq was obviously bothered by Bynums comments about him plus the fact that Bynum just dunked on him in the post and threw his elbow into Shaq. I wouldnt wana piss off Shaq tho, he'd crush Kobe and Bynum at once I bet LOL

Bynum said "I'm like Shaq, but I can shoot free-throws"...I'd be bothered to if I got faked out like that and then dunked on by the same person who is supposed to be taking my place in the future.
-
Bynum was jumpin around like he just won the championship. Shaq bucked him, so i bet he thinks twice before he does it again. And quit calling him a kid. He's in the NBA and if he thinks he's man enough to make millions with the big boys than he knows what comes with the territory. If Bynum had went on with business as usual after that good move on Shaq, none of this would have happened. He had said various things about Shaq in the press, and then busts a nut clowning cuz he spun around him for a dunk. Sometimes you gotta let a nigga know - and thats what Shaq did.

Dude, he fuckin' got excited, he did a move on Shaq most starting centers in the league DREAM of doing...He only plays for 5 minutes in every 5 games, OF COURSE HE'S GUNNA GET EXCITED. LOL...In fact, I like that he shows emotion like that, he's gunna be GREAT in the future...PeACe
-
i think its bullshit when people say that Shaq should've been ejected out of the game for throwin an forearm at the kid's shoulder/neck
Kobe didn't get ejected for pushin a forearm into Mike Miller's face while he was drivin in the lane
Miller could've been seriously injured from a shady move like that
Bynum pulled a great move on Shaq, but shouldn't of let his emotions get the best of him
Shaq's dunk >>> Bynum's spin move
-

Yea, and fined...LMAO@the comparison.

You think Shaq would have thrown an elbow if it was Kobe that owned him like that??....

Kobe's suspension and fine was justified...what he did could've seriously injured Mike Miller, the league HAD to make an example that you cannot just stick out a forearm into a player's face while he is driving into the lane. shit like that shouldn't be tolerated. Bynum gave Shaq an elbow and Shaq was pissed caus he got embarrassed by the spin so he wanted to send a message that you can't push him around (like Kobe said he wanted to send a message that you can't just run into LA's lane) , both parties were sendin a message: respect is due. Shaq could've just let it go and moved on (like Kobe), but he felt that it was deliberately a dirty move. You didn't see Shaq instigate anything. He was gettin into position for the next play after he got clowned. The hit he gave Bynum isn't on the same level as Kobe's forearm into Miller's face because Kobe felt Miller cut him intentionally over his eye when his arm was comin down)
Kobe's move deserved 2 games and a fine because the league had to send a message
Shaq didn't get shit because he threw a forearm into Bynum's shoulder/neck that didn't endanger Bynum's career
-
::) SHUT UP PLEASE,GET OFF THat bias bullshit,if you suspend one suspend the other, coulda woulda shoulda, bottom line miller ain't miss no games from taking the forearm,i seen karl malone knocc elliot perry out and not get shit on an intentional elbow, the league is full of shit with they rules fucc that kike david stern, i personally don't think shaq nore kobe should have been suspended, but if you gonna suspend one for that you have to do it to the other yell
-
Bias bullshit?? LMAO
it don't matter if miller didn't miss any games..the league has to send a message that it won't be tolerated
little bullshit scuffles with elbows happen all the time in the NBA...stickin a forearm into a person's face doesn't
-

as does every single star in the league. u guys are just Laker fans...so youre defending Bynum. if Shaq was still a Laker, and did that to anyone else in the league...youd be defending him. so theres no point in any of this.

a joke how? by pointing out what happened? come with somethin a little better clown. no Vet is gonna let some kid disrespect them by hittin em with an elbow. its not like Shaq waited a quarter then just came out of nowhere and decked his ass. The kid hit Shaq with a little elbow, Shaq hit him with a bigger one. Im not even a shaq fan, so i could careless about the guy. but all you fools talkin about Shaq are laker fans. And put yourself in his shoes, theres noway youd let someone disrespect you on the court like that. its not about the dunk, who cares about that. you think Sir Charles woulda let some 18 yr old even slightly touch him while runnin down the court? you think Malone would? Most bigmen, particularly ones who establish themselves physically in the league...arent going to let that go.

yeah you got a point, im droppin this shit, it'll just go nowhere
what happened, happened. neither the lakers or heat are bitchin about this so im out.
**abandons thread for good**

Tell me the league is not hated on Kobe when Ray Allen is "only" suspended 3 games for throwing jabs like a boxer.
-
He had a rape case. Of course he's not everyone's darling in the NBA.

Miller hit him intentionally. On the play, Miller's arm wasn't near Kobe face and did you see Miller reaction after that ? A "I don't give a fuck attitude " How many games was Kobe hit intentionnaly ? Portland, Memphis, Golden State, Dallas........ I wonder how Kobe is not blind or injured bad
-
He had a rape case. Of course he's not everyone's darling in the NBA.
He was hated before that.

I’ve seen clips of the Shaq-Bynum episode quite a few times now, and i can tell you that Shaq not only “dunked” on Bynum, but he wanted to send him a strong message, like “next time think twice before talking shit about me, kid! I’m the boss!”. It’s ok tho’. But Bynum retaliated in the best way possible, by dunking on him in the next possession. It was a wonderful tecnical retaliation. And he celebrated it, obviously. He sent Shaq a message back like “I can dunk on you too!”. And he searched for him, he pulled him, he sent him that “phisical” message like “Never do that to me, cause i can abuse you too. I’m ready”. Till now it’s all legal. It’s Shaq who fucked it up by elbowing Bynum. He had to be ejected. Period. He got tecnically and emotionally disrespected by Bynum, but his reaction was totally illegal. You can say Bynum deserved it, but that’s totally another story.
About the Bryant-Miller thing, it’s Miller who started it by hitting Kobe in the head. It was totally unnecessary. Miller was driving to the hoop, he jumped, nobody was trying to contest his shot, but still he hitted Kobe. Fucked up. He had to be ejected. Kobe got injured and he retaliated. Kobe had to be ejected too. But at the end of the day Kobe got his face fucked up and he got a 2 games suspension, while Miller was been portrayed like the victim. That’s wrong! Both did stupid things, but both deserved the same threatment by the League. Honestly you can’t compare this episode to the Shaq-Bynum one.
-
LOL shaq looked like an old man when bynum spun around his ass. shaq is far from "classy" and if i was bynum and did that to him id be tlaiking shit too. :) remember when barkley choke slammed shaq?
-
i guess you didnt see bynum come up the court and elbow shaq in the ribs after the spin around dunk???
shaq's dunk was much more monsterous then that of bynums, bynum hit the deck when shaq threw that down, but i give the kid credit for coming back on the very next play with an nifty move taught to him he says by Abdul Jabbar...
-
Remember when Iverson crossed over Jordan? Imagine Iverson celebrating after the basket and then going back on Defense and give Jordan a little shove. Im sure everybody would have been like WTF ARE U DOING?!

Out of those 3 "stars", Kobe is the only one who got a suspension AND fine...Your argument is ridiculous. If Shaq was a Laker, I'd have his back through his ups and downs, as I do with every Laker player...But in all honesty, the ruling was NOT fair.

It was just rough play. Bigs do it all the time...he coulda' shoved him right back the same way, it woulda' been more appropriate, he didn't have to get all butt-hurt about it and give him that big viscous elbow...
-
He had a rape case. Of course he's not everyone's darling in the NBA.
Yea, but now that we know the case was CLEARLY for money, the league should feel bad for him, not punish him...That case was the down-point in his life, why should the league make him suffer when some greedy dumb bitch already caused him enough anguish?
-
Once again: Bynum's reaction was worth maybe a tecnical foul (maybe). Shaq's one was worth an ejection. No fucking doubt.
-
Remember when Iverson crossed over Jordan? Imagine Iverson celebrating after the basket and then going back on Defense and give Jordan a little shove. Im sure everybody would have been like WTF ARE U DOING?!
Ummm, bigs are A LITTLE different than guards. Bigs revolve around physical play, wtf are you saying...LOL
-
It doesnt matter, there was no need for him to give a shove to Shaq. Players dont just come down and shove each other before the ball is even on that side of the court.
-

you need to watch more NBA games
-
yeah big guys just give elbows coming down the court while running ALL the time. There should be technicals and guys getting ejected all the time then.
-

Naw you're missing the pt, for some it's like what Bynum did was extraordinary. Plus imagine you're a 18 rookie and you dunk on the most dominating center of all the time, you just show your emotions when SHAQ has experience. I don't get that RESPECT thing. If Shaq wanted to show the kid he's the boss, he would ask the ball dunk on him
-
yeah big guys just give elbows coming down the court while running ALL the time. There should be technicals and guys getting ejected all the time then.
Elbows? LMAO. Come one man, if anything, it was considered a shove...Rough play in the NBA gets much worse than that without the refs stepping in. If Shaq woulda' shoved him back the same way, the refs wouldn't have even taken notice...Get the point?
-
Yeah he just wanted to retaliate from what he thought was a foul in the Shaq Dunk, little did he know that move he was made was just made a much bigger impact than any shove from his forearm( you know the part of the body from the ELBOW to the wrist). That was a great play by the 18 year old, im not degrading the move, but the forearm was not needed just like SHAQ's wasnt. And noen of can assume what would have happen if shaq would have shoved him back the same exact way.
-

wrong he cheated on his wife.... and no one would have ever known if that girl didnt come out running her mouth..... he is a representative of the NBA and he is not portraying a good image with that.... but does not take anything away from his skills....
its as if i was the best worker ever for my company but i cheated on my wife and everyone found out about it... i would be treated differently i can bet you on that one.....especially if there was a rape charge on my ass
and this is not ment for you to get mad..... im just pointing out the fact that kobe isnt and shouldnt be completely off the leash
-
big viscous elbow...
c'mon Bynum is in the NBA, and Bynum didn't get hurt, so stop babying him

LMAO...Cheating is not even looked at that bad anymore. Shit, more than half the league probably cheats, and everyone knows it...The case is what ruined him, if his wife just divorced him for cheating, you honestly think it would be the same as him being accused of rape?
-

you must be a shaq hater. all i have to say is......why do such a thing?? Shaq would destroy him no doubt

I'm not a hater. We ain't talking about philosophy. We're talking about rules. If you follow them, then Shaq should have been ejected. Have you seen the game on TNT? The commentator repeated twice that Shaq was "very fortunate" that he didnt get and ejection. Are we all Shaq haters?

c'mon... man they are grown man in a physical sport. they arent bitches. thats a main reason why i hate watching basketball sometimes bc the refs call the games and make the sport look like a pussy sport.
