Myka goes over the heads of the people here.
-
That's cool but since this is a west coast hip hop forum, somebody's got to be interested when a west cost pioneer drops a new album. Especially when you can get it for free. Most of the styles of rap people listen to here were created at the Good Life anyway. Just download the track, Viles and let me know if there's a lot of tracks out right now that can fuck with that. Peace.

I know about Myka/Good Life/Project Blowed etc. They get little to no love here. People don't know that without the Good Life L.A. Hip Hop would've never been the same.
-
It's too bad people don't appriciate the work that was done to pave the way for others to do their thing. Anyway, Myka was here pretty much at the start of west coast hip hop and he's still way ahead of the game with pure creativity compared with a lot of cats out now. Maybe this is a good chance for some people to check it out and see what's up.

Agree, I Loved the Hakuit de tat album, and loved his track on the Project Blowed Compilation, with busdriver, pretty creative jazzzy hip hop ish, lol

E-Crazy, how you feeling about this new one?

Megaupload sucks balls! it looks like ill have it in 30 min. or so, lol
-
Sorry about that. We're getting a lot of traffic so I think that slows it down. Any better sites you can suggest? We want people to hear this so we can up it somewhere else too.

"Anyone else from the Blowed giving out free albums or mixtapes??"
Not that I know of. This is probably a one time, unique situation. At least for Myka.

Yeah, I hear a lot of people talking about HipHop getting stagnent all the time but there are always artists who stay creative.
-
Sounds fresh!
-
Glad you like it. Looks like everyone who's checking it out is happy they did.
-
Thanks for the words...
Credits for The Citrus Sessions are now posted at www.myka9.com so you can see who did what for that album.
Also, if you're in the Bay area or LA during the next couple of months, check out Myka's live show. There are some very good lineups - Details also at the site.
If you've seen Myka 9 live before, give us some thoughts here too...

Well for what its worth, I recognize him as being very talented, but I do not enjoy his music. Its unlistenable to me.
