Title: Xzibit On Columbia Records
Post by: The_Kush on March 18, 2002, 08:08:44 PM
In the wake of Loud Records demise, it appears as though Xzibit will now be officially a Columbia Records recording artist. X is currently working on his new album 'Man Vs Machine' which is due to drop in June.

With Loud now gone, there is no confirmed word as to whether or not the new Xzibit album will still drop in the middle of the year or if it will be delayed and pushed back until November. We'll keep you posted on any new developments.

It would be good if he signed to aftermath imagine eminem, xzibit and rakim on a dre beat = DOPE SHIT!
But we all know it would take about 5 years 4 his cd to come out, thats probably why he didn't.  8)

Yeah but would it be possible? I mean he had a deal for a certain amount of albums with Loud, so now that columbia recs has taken over louds biz he's still commited to them

That's some tight ass news homie. Maybe he can hook up with his labelmate Nas and do a track. Columbia seems like a good label because they didn't force Nas to do a commercialised album so maybe they'll let Xzibit have creative control too.

Dre is behind xzibit again on this album, the executive producer.

Of course... Dre will be the executive producer for all forthcoming Xzibit albums.

Columbia is a big label, bigger than Mca or Universal.
Is a good choice,i'm sure they're able to promote xzibit like he deserves.

loud never had promotion or distribution problems
and Columbia owned them anyways.

seems like they're just streamlining things a little.
