Title: Does anyone think it's unfair that....
Post by: Mac 10 † on January 24, 2006, 03:35:13 PM
Wigan went through tonight as they basically got 120 minutes to score an away goal whereas Arsenal only got 90 minutes?

surely if the 1st game is 1-0 and the 2nd game is 1-0 to the other team then it should go straight to penalties

or if they are to have extra time a 1-1 draw within that period shouldn't result in a winner

is it just me or is that rule crazy?

Such a shocking rule, is the rules still that away goals only count after extra time & they don't count after 90 minutes or have they changed that.

Away goals are bad enough in Europe but for a domestic cup competition it doesn't make sense
