The song isn’t bad at all but I just don’t like the outside commercial production on principal.

Kurupt and Daz fail to be lyrical at all times nowadays. Kurupt really been pissing me off with his weak lyrics, this guy is supposed to be one of the dopest Emcees? not anymore.
But this was interesting for me. This kinda track doesn't really require you to be super lyrical or anything. It's just some gangsta shit over a commercial-ass swizz beats track. and sounds kinda like that single that came out by some cat who i can't remember his name. it sampled biggie i think, sayin "diamonds on my neck". anyway, I think it's a nice track, i ain't mad. I guess since Daz's flow been poo poo since death rows days and Kurupt can't come up with some dope lyrics, they gonna have to depend on this kinda production to sound like decent artists.
I'm a huge DPG fan, but I gotta be honest. IF these guys were rapping like this and were brand new artists coming out, everyone would be like "These guys are fucking trash!". Daz and Kurupt are so lucky they have classics behind them and already a fanbase. Cause I doubt these guys are gonna sell outside of that. These young kids don't know who these guys are. I guess this album is an attempt to get a little bit of mainstream light and gain some of them younger fans.
oh yeah. daz's flow sucks terribly nowadays, i miss his earlier calm flow days. The only thing his new flow can be applied to is songs like these. so i guess it kinda works.

Props on the hookup. Does sound pretty generic and the lyrics are average. The topic is terrible but it still is good to have them working together. The beat is filthy too.

I don't like the outside production either. But they don't really have any other choice if they wanna sell more than a 100,000 copies
-
Thanks for the hookup.
This track is up there with Still D.R.E, Serial Killa and So Many Tears...
Alphabetically speaking of course. 8)
-
okay song...
-
Not really "DPG-ish" but I still like it, y'all need to turn your shit up.

Damn....it sounds EXACTLY like that song, and he even says Diamonds on my neck in his verse. Personally, Daz's flow is the ONLY thing that's kept me interested in him since 99-2000. His flow and delivery is usually on point, even though he usually doesn't talk about anything. This track is straight for some commercial shit, but it's probably a Swizz throwaway since it sounds so much like Diamonds on my neck. Shit...the way the hook is cut up sounds EXACTLY like Diamonds on my neck, and I mean EXACTLY....
"SIT'n on twenty threes, SIT'n SIT'n on twenty threes......"
"DIAMONDS on my neck, DIAMONDS DIAMONDS on my neck....."
"Whe-Wheelin hunned spokes, Whe-Wheelin hunned spokes..."
"Smokin Ls of green, Smokin pounds of green"
-
not a fan of swizz beatz but i will give this a fair go.
-
Swizz did his job.Daz and Kurupt didnt.Horrible flow and lyrics.
Its that simple.
-
wack ever.
-
kurupt has fallen off so bad lyrically it's now hard to hear it
I remember when everything Kurupt used to spit was fire, now his raps are warm shit
-
dpg & swizz beatz? :o i need speakers!!!!!!!!!
-
wack
-
Man, I'm feeling the track. Yeah, lyrically it's nothing special, but I think saying that would be missing the point since its clear that Daz & Kurupt aren't going for the lyricism of '06 on this one. It's simple stuff - the kind of song that could easily appeal to a mainstream audience.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the biggest Swizz Beatz fan - all his production sounds kinda same-y to me - but this song definitely bangs. As UKnowWhatItIs posted, you need to turn your speakers up with this track.
Plus, that chorus is infectious, even though we've all heard that st-stuttering stuff before. Give the song a chance - I think those who dislike it might find it grows on them.
"Sittin' on 23's, Sittin-Sittin' on 23's..."
-
damn this song ain't that bad and daz's flow is on point for this shit....and kurupt ain't horrible at all after what y'all were saying i was expecting bitch eat a dick shit
-
not that bad, but it aint got that DPG sound.... not feelin the beat too much
-
to all who i said was hatin on dpg too much yesterday: my apoligies. the flow on this track is weak, kurupts voice is annoying, the chorus in annoying... hope to hell this aint the lead single. if it is ima havta pass on the album i think

-

Props
-
This shit will blow up with a decent video clip, some shit with Kurupt and Daz rolling around in some nice rides and hittin up some party amongst some blinged out rides and the MTV crowd would see this album sell well
-
Not really "DPG-ish" but I still like it, y'all need to turn your shit up.
not wat i was really expectin form tha dogg pound
i like it though, lyrically they need to come better , i can imagine it to be great song to cruise to 8)
-
i'm not feeling this track at al l!!
-
Sounds like it could be a commercial hit, but I am not feeling the beat at all. I am not a fan of swizz beats and the track honestly sounds wack to me. It was only listenable(barely) because of daz's flow. Damn kurupt's performance on that song was horrible. :'(
Also the hook was too repetitive and corny for me, but it was obviously a song made to be a commercial hit...
-
the beat sounds almoast exactly like diamonds on my neck by smitty
-
swizz beats are sick, but they aint gonna pass dpg their best shit, its still a nice beat tho imo, by the way i think this shit is dope
-
Aint feelin this at all.
-
this shit slaps, bout time some niggaz get the picture and move a lil away from that west coast sound. THis the best DPG song since they got back together. I'd rather here this then that wack ass real soon bullshit that been on the radio for months.

This song is a Grower!!!!
-
nothing special imo
-
Okay song, but not really itchin to hear it again....
Does anyone else agree with me that Kurupt's best work lyrically since being bacc with Daz is "That's It"?
I thought after this the Old Kurupt was bacc, but he just doesnt seem to be cutting it.
