Troubled former NBA player Isaiah Rider was arrested by Marin County sheriff's deputies Thursday on charges of kidnapping a female acquaintance, authorities said.
Rider, 34, was being held on $2 million bail at Marin County Jail on charges of kidnapping and battery, said Sgt. Bruce Baker of the Marin County Sheriff's office. Rider, who also faces an outstanding warrant for resisting arrest in Alameda County, was scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
Rider allegedly got into an argument Wednesday night with the unidentified female acquaintance and drove off with her against her will, Baker said. The woman began to scream, attracting the attention of police. Authorities tracked Rider down early Thursday morning and arrested him, Baker said. The woman was not injured.
LOL...Some people can never stay away from trouble.

This isn't completely out of character for him. He was always getting into trouble when he was still in the NBA, if I remember correctly he was even in jail a couple of years ago.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- Two arrest warrants were issued for former NBA star Isaiah Rider after he failed to show up at his sentencing for convictions that include false imprisonment and driving offenses.
Judge Verna Adams waited about an hour after the scheduled Wednesday hearing before issuing the warrants. Bail was set at $10,000 each in two separate misdemeanor cases against the basketball player, who retired in 2002.
Rider, 34, pleaded guilty to six misdemeanors and three infractions in the two cases in Marin County Superior Court. One involved false imprisonment and battery and the second was for driving with a suspended license and related charges.
He's also wanted in Alameda County, where a bench warrant was issued July 26 when he failed to appear in court on drug charges.
Rider starred at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas before being drafted fifth in 1993 by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Nah, he was never a complete player, only a shooter. BTW, since your a big Lakers fan, do you remeber when Rider showed up half hour late for a nationally televised game high off of his ass?
