Here are some games I remember:

Sonic 1, 2, 3, 3D
Mortal Kombat 1, 2
Streets Of Rage 1, 2, 3
Earthworm Jim 1, 2
Micro Machines 1, 2
Toy Story 1, 2
Fifa
Road Rash
Street Fighter 2
Tazmania (this game sucked badly)
Boogerman (this was really weird, if you've played this game you'll know why)

My megadrive was stolen back in the day, so I never got to say goodbye  :'(

Man... This takes me back, I used to have a Mega Drive.

-Sonic 1,2,3 and Sonic & Knuckles

-Streets of Rage 2 & 3 (The first one didn't impress me much) (The Japanese version of the last one is balanced better though - FYI)

-Revenge of Shinobi, Shinobi 3 (Revenge of S is a classic release, a huge seller back in the day. It featured Spider-Man, Batman, The Terminator & Godzilla as bosses, without any copyright acknowledgement. Shinobi 3 is more fun to play though, better action and all that. They're both still cool though.)

-The Mortal Kombat series, of course.

-Road Rash series was cool. Get the third one if any, they're all pretty much the same idea, but the last one has obviously the smoothest graphics and most content.

-Ghouls & Ghosts (Difficult as fuck, but no doubt a vintage-gaming classic.)

-Mystic Defender (I don't remember much about this one, except that I used to be pretty good at it. My brother sucked at it. All I remeber is that the enemies and levels were pretty weird.)

-Can't mention Mortal Kombat without Street Fighter 2. Although I enjoy the more modern Alpha series more.

-Mazin Wars or Mazin Saga (Can't remember which was the Japanese title and which one we had here, but a cool game none the less. The idea was pretty cool: It's your basic (though very well executed) side scrolling action, but when you reach the level boss, you fight them Mortal Kombat style. Whole different moves and perspective and everything, extremely well executed.)

Then there were the kiddie games, since I WAS pretty young at the time. Mickey Mouse & the Castle of Illusion, Quackshot (Donald Duck game), Taz Mania!, and the sports games. My bro would kick ass in the old EA Sports NHL series.
