Title: Does anyone know what D.O.C. or B.I.G. stands for?

I been fans of these fools ever since they dropped but I could never decipher or heard what they names stand for? Are they abbreviations or were they just written like that to sound more tight?

These are what I always thought:
The D.O.C. - Wanted to use the Doc term but it was already taken by Doc Dre so he had to change it to D.O.C.

B.I.G. - It just sounds tight! LOL!

Hit me up with the info y'all cause this shit been buggin' me for years.

D.O.C. = Doesn't Orate Clearly.

I THOUGHT B.I.G. STOOD FOR BIG IN GATS?....OR IT WAS SUPOSSED TO MEAN THAT?...AND D.O.C. I DONT KNOW

b4 i knew there was a blck rappa named The DOC i alwayz thought of DOC as a racist term of some sort...even when it is spoken by a racist i don't know what it stands for...??

Ya, you guys are funny.  Dont know about DOC. but i know with Biggie he just had to quit using the Biggie Smalls name he was originally using cuz some white rapper had it copywrited, so he logically went with Notorious BIG....not sure if it stands for anything, he said he had to use it but everyone still called him Biggie
