The Toronto Raptors announced Monday that forward Chris Bosh was named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, January 30 through Sunday, February 5. This is the second time Bosh has won the honour, having earned the award for January 3-9, 2005.
Bosh led the Raptors to a 2-1 record, averaging a conference-high 30.3 points on .534 shooting from the field and .853 from the free throw line, 12.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists. He led the team in scoring in all three games. He registered 33 points, the first time he had topped 30 points in a home game, going 14-of-19 from the floor and five for five from the line, with 13 rebounds and four assists in a 117-112 win February 1 versus Washington. He had 29 points, going 15-of-17 from the free throw line, and seven rebounds in a 104-90 win over New York on February 3. He finished the week with 29 points, 16 rebounds, eight on the offensive end, and a career-high tying six assists in a 115-113 overtime loss versus the Los Angeles Clippers.
A product of Georgia Tech in his third season, Bosh leads the team in scoring (22.9), rebounding (9.2) and field goal percentage (.503). He is the only player in the league to average at least 22 points and shoot better than 50 per cent from the floor and 80 per cent from the free throw line (.806). He ranks eighth in the NBA in double-doubles with 21.
Bosh’s teammate Mike James won the award earlier this season for the week of January 2-8. This is the 11th player of the week honour for a Raptor, and Bosh becomes the first multiple winner since Vince Carter. Chris Paul of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets was named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week.

The reason it's hilarious is because the biggest story on Bosh is that there's a high chance that he's signing with the Lakers in '07 when he becomes a free agent...

is their any credible evidence that bosh is going to sign wit LA? like did he say he wants to go their or anything like that? cuz i think now that the raps got rid of artest they have more money and will probably sign bosh. hopefully im wrong cuz bosh would be sick in purple and goold.

Artest?...LOL, I believe you mean Rose.
Nothing is confirmed. They can't say anything while he's on the Raptors...Phil Jackson has made some comments about looking at Bosh in '07 and even long before that, rumors had it that LA was heavily into Bosh for the '07 plan, and Bosh said it sounded good...Who would turn down a deal to play in LA? It can be his transition from start to superstar. His marketing and endorsements in LA will more than tripple. And being part of a dynasty alongside the modern-day greatest, Kobe Bryant... who in their right minds would turn that down?

lol o yeah my bad i meant rose.
well hopefully he does leave toronto and goes to the lakers. i just see toronto doing everything to make sure they keep bosh as hes the face of their franchise. with bosh, kobe, odom and phil L.A. should be able to compete next yr.

Not really...I've called some signings and trades way before they happened. I called the Karl Malone signing with the Lakers over a year before it happened. If you're talking about my Latrell Sprewell and Shawn Kemp hopes, those were actually both credible, cuz both players were in negotiation and/or trying out for the Lakers...There's a HIGH chance of Bosh signing with the Lakers...PeACe
