"The Notorious BIG, Tupac, Run DMC, Salt n Pepa, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaata, Slick Rick and Queen Latifah are among a host of rappers that will be inducted into the first ever Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame.
The ceremony will take place later on today at the Hip Hop Super Conference currently taking place in New York. Kool DJ Herc, Def Jam founder Russell Simmons, KRS-One and LL Cool J will also be placed on the list of hip hop legends.
Inductees to the Hip Hop Hall Of Fame were chosen online via public voting. The deceased New York rapper Notorious BIG received a massive 60 per cent of all nominations.
The three-day Super Conference will also see over 100 celebrity panels debating rap's 'cultural and sociological' impact."

i think it may be a travesty if rakim is not in the hall of fame.........but then again the hall of fame in music is when musicians are more or less towards the end of thier career..........but if it doesnt depend on that then ra should b there without a doubt......he basically changed the game on how an mc raps forever....
peace

I went to that site and something is horribly wrong. I do not see Public Enemy on the voting list for best group. I'm glad to see N.W.A. there but no Public Enemy. That's a real disappointment even though I voted for N.W.A. anyways.
