Title: Car stereo question
Post by: Knoshen on February 11, 2006, 01:55:36 PM
yo I took my car in to get fixed and while I was on my way home my cd player lights where on and the cd was playing but the others buttons dont work on the cd player
does anyone know if this is a loose connection problem or something I can just fix myself?

your faceplate connectors might be dirty, if the metal contacts are exposed, you can ruff em up a bit with some 220 sand paper.

Can you take the deck out? If so, check the connections.

I'm no expert either but if I were you, I would just simply pull the deck out a little bit, check the plugs in the back to make sure everything is plugged in tightly. If it is, then I guess you gotta get help from a pro. I think Adon is right though, it's gotta be the faceplate connectors.
