Daz Links Up With Scott Storch To "Git Drunk" [Audio] - February 17, 2006 By : Nima
Here's a special gift for all of the dubcnn visitors. Daz Dillinger hit the studio with 2005's Nr. 1 hitter Scott Storch last month, and result of that collaboration is here! Tha Dogg Pound Gangsta is working on his "So So Gangsta" album on So So Def, and this right here is an unreleased track called "Git Drunk".
That's right, this is some unreleased shit, so you can imagine what the album's gonna sound like! Daz & Scott dropped some heat together, you're not gonna get this anywhere else so go ahead and downlaod it below in full Mp3 quality:
Daz Dillinger - Git Drunk (Prod. by Scott Storch)
Enjoy the music, and be on the lookout for the Dogg Pound to really put it down this year, with the upcoming Dogg Pound album which is most likely going to be called "Gangsta Reunion", Kurupt's solo aswell as Daz' solo albums. Soopafly is also putting the finishing touches on his project which is set to drop independently, we're going to premiere a song from that in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

thanks, although i dont like the track...
-
good to see storch doing shit with westcoast artists... even though im tired of his style---most of his shit sounds the same
-
Damn Storch gave Daz one of his wackest beats.
-
i'm actually feeling this beat...
-
thanks, although i dont like the track...
-
It aint nothing special but im feeling it
-
Listening for the first time right now... that beat is fiyaah! I'm feelin' it. 8)
Daz sounds nice on that beat.
-

Peace
LazyL
-
i'm actually feeling this beat...
And I also thought this was a something a lil' bit more creative from Storch.

have'nt u heard Tha Last Meal? Scott got 2 banging beats on there
-
Storch CAN be creative as hell when he wants...but when "Lean back" blew up, he got a helluva demand for beats with that same style, so he's just capitalizin off that style right now, which is why many of those beats sound the same and some are nearly identical. But I bet he could drop a beat that sounds nothin like anything he's ever done before.
-
By the way...this song is hot as hell to me. It could blow outside the West, which is the main thing we need right now. It sounds a bit west coast, but not stereotypical west.
-
KEEP IT COMING YA'll THIS SONG WAS DUBCNN EXCLUSIVE SO SHOW THEM SOME FEEDBACK!
-
better than i expected
-
It aint nothing special but im feeling it
-
its ok nothing more...
-
better than i expected
-
there's a reason why this song is an album leftover... its utter shit.
the beat sounds like it was put together in 30 seconds and daz can't make a coherent song anymore.
-

I meant compared to his recent music.Ready 2 Ride and Y'all gon miss me are banging, no question.
-
the beat aint your average scott storch banger but I do like this song.....Daz and Kurupt could do with a beat like this, flowin back and forth instead of some of those cheap beats on The Saga Continuez
-
SMOKE ONE AND LISTEN AGAIN AND YOU'LL SEE aaH!
-
I like this song. Heard it yesterday on the 9 oclock bomb.
-
i'm actually feeling this beat...
Yup, me too.

-
i like it, its a nice smooth beat, better thn all the other storch beats
daz's flow is really nice on this, laid back like the og daz
-
Props, i'll check it out soon...
-
its decent, good enough to knock it in the car once in awhile. best track by daz lately though. props on the hookup
-
This shit is hot, Daz rides the beat really well. I haven't heard him flow like that in a long time.
-
persoanlly i think its bangin
-
Track really grew on me.
-
I'm feeling this track. 8)
-
GOOD SONG, GOOD SHIT DAZZZZ
YALL SHOULD TRY SPEEDING UP THIS BEAT
IF YALL HAVE A TEMPO/PITCH CONTROLLER ON YOUR PLAYER ...
SHIT IS HOT HIGH 90S BPM RANGE
IS THE SWEET SPOT
-
dope track, daz on that laid back flow, dope beat and daz rocks it perfect... hit track fo sho
-
It's an ok song, nuthin special though...
-
He'll have to change the title to "Git Crunk" or something if he wants it to blow up nationwide. MTV, BET etc. aren't gonna play a song called "Git Drunk." Cover it up like J-Kwon did "Tipsy." Daz needs to get a hot feature on this shit to blow it up. And, no, not Snoop.
-
I hope Daz didn't pay 200 Grand for this trash. the beat is average nothing more. Scott could've came alot better.
-
I know Im kinda late but I wanted to add that I like the song. Daz has been sounding sick as of late and he fits the beat perfect on this track. Definatly a banger IMO 8)
First the new Frank Lee White and then this new Daz :o Keep it up DubCNN!
-
I'm feeling the beat and Daz had a nice flow on it. Nothing great, but it's cool
-
not the best shit i've heard but like some other say i think the beat is cool, i would redo the drum but the rest of the song is cool, it sounds clubish and westcoast at the same time, and daz got a nice flow
-
Daz needs to get a hot feature on this shit to blow it up. And, no, not Snoop.
lol, true dat
-
Daz has been sounding sick as of late
yeah, I feel that way too, he's better at rhyming than Kurupt now
Daz has actually gotten better with his lyrics, I just don't feel these other peoples beats he's on
it doesn't sound right to have Daz on a Scott Storch or Swizz Beats track....
Daz needs to get back to the boards and prove some shit, cuz if he keeps doin tracks with dudes like this it won't fly
but with the help from JD on his album whenever it'll come out, I think it'll be really good
-
this song is fucking tight.THis could become a nice 1st single for Daz it has a club appeal to it with a west coast flavor.
-
I enjoyed it for what it was.
-
I like the way Daz sounds on this tune....he's not yellin'...pretty smooth.

Personally, I think "All I Need", "Boyz N Tha Hood", hell, even "Party People" were all better tracks than this. Keep the "All I Need (Triple OG Mixx)" as the first single as far as I'm concerned. Snoop may be an obvious choice for a guest spot, but he proved with "R&G" that he can still attract the crowds and, more importantly, make hit records. Only problem with "All I Need" is that it might be too aggressive to blow on a large scale. Still, JD's beat for "All I Need" >>> Scotty's beat here.
I would keep it on the album for the simple fact that it's a Scott Storch beat and dude's production style is what's hot right now. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realise that keeping a Storch produced track off of the album is a bad business move, even if it is an unremarkable cut IMO.
Maybe it will grow on me..."Sittin on 23z" sure did.
As for Daz being better on the lyrics than Kurupt...just check out the "Rap City" freestyle. Gotti still has it when he actually wants to use his skills. However, Daz has definitely become a far stronger songwriter. I was listening to "Come Close" off of "Tha Dogg Pound Gangsta LP" recently and I definitely believed that that song would have been a great first single for the So So Def album. Solid, funky West Coast influenced production, Nate Dogg hook, decent flow by D-A-Z and the kind of lyricism that could appeal to a commercial, female audience.

Track is tight as hell to me. Sounds different style wise for both Daz and Storch, but i really like it, its like a laid back club joint or something.
