well what did ya think of his part on addictive? i thought he came off real chilled n tight?
what ya all think?
-
I only heard it once, so I can't say too much. I'm just glad he is finally hanging with Aftermath after signing in late 2000.
-
Well... as a rapper... it was a good rap... I never listened to Rakim before... but there is so much hype around him... I didn't find his rap anything special.
-Big BpG
-
Yeah, I didn't find it special either, Eminem comes harder than this on every verse. It was good, nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't anything very interesting.
-
Honestly, I Think The Whole Song Sucks A Fat One!! I Hope The Second Single Sounds Better Then This Or The Truth Will Become a Major Flop..
-
to b honest wit ya'l i still havent heard this track.......i dont maube its cause im on the east, but ima still keep my ears tuned to the radio.....

We'll maybe me not being a hard R&B fan has sumthing do with me not liking the song or yes, maybe it's the fact that it aint CDQ.. I wont lie and say I like it because She's on Dre's Label.. If you don't like it admit it easy as that.. who knows the second single could be off the chains, we'll wait and see..
-
I dunno dogg, seein' as how "Cops dr2" was certified Wack-Platinum, I'd say this just pushed it closer to diamond. She was alright doing backup on "Nasty Mind' but is it just me, or was Bizarre or RBX or whoever the hell they had double her vocals the strong part? I'm just not that interested in her. And I like some R&B, but this isn't R&B. I haven't heard benefit of the doubt though, maybe it's good.
-
Stayin on topic, Rakim couldn't do the song justice, I know His Aftermath debut will be better then what can be heard on this song..
-
Yea, I mean, I don't blame him. He didn't have much to work with on this song, LOL. Lord knows the beat ain't hittin, and it's kinda hard to sit through 3 minutes of her grunting to get to his verse,LOL.
-
yeah i really don't feel her as of now i ain't gonna buy her shit
-
LOL @ Grunting, Thats what I wanted to say, didn't spring to mind till you said it..LOL ;D
-
i liked benefit of the doubt but i don't like addictive and i hated the song she had on the ali sdtk.. i really felt benefit of the doubt tho..
-
And I like some R&B, but this isn't R&B
That's why she's signed on Aftermath i guess.
-
Alright, I downloaded "Benefit of the Doubt" and it's much better, that's my type of R&B, so we'll have to see how the album goes. Benefit of the Doubt is pretty dope, actually, not bad.

(might be a little out on this.. holla with corrections)
Thinking of a master plan, you know anything you need baby ask your man,
he was there from a half a gram ,now its kilo's and c-notes and high fashion ?grants?
we ball like we own the world, your only concern is you my only girl
and when we speaking in tongues, breathin hard when i'm squeezin your lungs
keep it strong, but i gotta hit the streets when i'm done
its joy and pain when u trying to head a the game
its P.I., but you never complain
just pray i dont get killed when i hit the ?herm?
just another hundred mill and i'mma quit for good
no more drug wars, trips to jail and shoot outs
getting loot out, but lawyers and bail'll get ya cleaned out
just me and you high off sex or twisted
you ?OG'd? if u OD - addictive

i think this was tight personally i felt, i think he kept it chilled and it suited the song, tight i think!
-
oh by the way seer, i think its 'the making of a masterplan, not thinkin of a master plan' but then i waint to sure either
-
i'm sure its thinking, just like in his classic verse from Paid in full.
Thinking of a master plan
Cuz ain't nuthin but sweat inside my hand
So I dig into my pocket, all my money's spent
So I dig deeper but still comin up with lint
So I start my mission- leave my residence
Thinkin how could I get some dead presidents
I need money, I used to be a stick-up kid
So I think of all the devious things I did
-
Rakim came off OK on the song...This wasn't the type of joint for him to flex his lyrical skill though...I expect good things from his aftermath album...
-
rakim came off nice on this but dont consider this as his debut really, this was more to help truth hurts, and get people to know who she is by having a legend like ra in her song........he'll bring da heat once he has his own single come out......
peace
