I'm feelin' the hard beats he does. The beats he did on Ja's first album was nice. He does some nice R&B tracks too. He did that tight beats for DMX and Jay-Z too.

Ja Rule - "It's Murda"
DMX - "What's My Name"
Jay-Z - "Watch Me"

I think he is one of the biggest Dre biters today along with J.D. meaning they use Dre's atmospheric sounds in their tracks.

on  a scale of 1-5 i'd give him a 2.5 or 3 as a producer

he's 'ok'

he relys to much on what's  going on now or what's tight i.e. watch me is such a blatent take off of dre's style and a few years ago he was so on manni fresh's jock

Furthermore, he jacks Puffy's already jacked beats.......Aint it Funny by J -Lo and Ja has the Flava in Ya ear beat, while Foolish by Ashanti has the One Mroe Chance beat. Gotti makes hits lately i guess, but he ain't exactly creative.

Jay-Z "Can I Live"
^
is Irv Gotti's best beat ever, IMO.

He also did Noreaga's "Live my life"
Nuthin spectacular, Noreaga suits the Neptunes-style better.
