Title: tribe called quest
Post by: krazyk on March 03, 2002, 05:10:32 PM
any TCQ fans in here? i will admit i remember hearing "can i kick it" when i was younger, and i have only recently gotten there Anthology cd, but damn, this cd is unbelievable.  It is timeless to me, its tought to believe these beats are from 10 years ago or so.  I also love the jazz influence thats on it.  Q-tip really tears it up on their songs... let me know your opinions on TCQ...peace

Always felt that Tribe was ahead of their time.  Ever since The Low End Theory.  Even when people said they fell off, they still came with tight shit.  This is one East Coast group that I wish would get back together.  I dig Tribe and a hand full of other artists from The East.  Good post.  Pz.

Midnight Marauders is by far my favourite hip hop album ever, ATCQ were way ahead of their time without a doubt. They are kinda reforming for a track on Phife's new album, which hopefully will lead to a few more tracks from them together.
