How many of you think drew brees will remain the quarterback for the san diego chargers ?
-
Seeing how he already signed with the Saints... Chances are slim.

Moments after the Dolphins got Daunte Culpepper in a trade with the Vikings, free agent quarterback Drew Brees agreed to a six-year deal with the New Orleans Saints.
Financial terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
Saints sources also said that since they are no longer in need of a quarterback, the team will now try to trade the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft.
Brees will take over for Aaron Brooks, who is expected to be released by New Orleans after his worst season since taking over as the Saints starter in 2000.
Brees has spent his entire five-year career with the San Diego Chargers, throwing for more than 3,000 yards in three of the past four seasons. He led the Chargers to a playoff appearance in 2004.
"You've got a young ascending player who's proven at this level he can win," Saints coach Sean Payton said of Brees before the deal was completed.
Brees spent the last five seasons with the San Diego Chargers but reached a stalemate with them on a new contract.
Brees had said the devastation of Hurricane Katrina wouldn't dissuade him from joining the Saints. He said he helped build winning teams at Purdue and San Diego, and the challenge of doing the same with the Saints appealed to him.
"I think being a part of that would be a great opportunity," he said.
Brees tore the labrum and damaged the rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder in the final game last season and underwent surgery Jan. 5. He said Sunday that he faces another four or five months of recovery and doesn't anticipate any long-term effects.

haha, yeah he gone, looks like Rivers is the starting QB now, hopefully they sign a CB, I'd like to see them get Ty Law.

drew brees ---> NO
dante culpepper ----> MIA
matt leinart ----> NYJ :banana_trippin:

^^^^ i think that the saints might trade out of their position to get more draft picks and whoever gets that spot will pick up leinart. either that or they'll stay at the #2 draft pick and pick up ferguson or aj hawk. both r beasts. persoanlly i think ferguson would be the better choice. if all this happens then i think the titans will pick up leinart and be reunited with norm chow.
-
i think the saints will trade to the 4th pick becaus they dont wanna drop TOO far down the line so that they wont be able to get who they want, i just hope the jets will make it attractive enuf to trade picks caus matt leinart is just wat we need
-
matt leinart is sick. most nfl ready qb. i can actually see the saints trading the 2nd pick for like the jets 4th and maybe a seconund rounder in this draft and a second in next yrs draft. i think that the saints should really consider getting ferguson. the guy just looks so good but the really need to revamp their lb's and hawk is looking really good as well.
right now though the jets r looking to get matt shaub from the falcons in a trade for abraham but apparently the falcons want abraham and a 2nd rounder for shaub as they value shaub as much as a first and the jets only wanna give away abraham.

Rumours going around that the Jets want to draft DL Mario Williams with the 4th overall pick & might trade up to make sure that they get Williams.
-
^^^ mario williams would make up for their lose of abraham but i dont see y they would have to draft up at the 4th spot. bush is most likely goind 1st, leinart i think will go second to wahtever team gets that pick and if the saints do stay they shouldnt take mario williams as they have will smithh and that other 1st round DE, and the titans would most likely take a qb.
-
i'm kinda hoping matt goes to the titans
-
its been pretty poppin in the newspaper about this draft pick. most of them i see want to trade to get leinart and i'd hafta agree. we need a QB and i dont nor do i think ne1 in NY wants Schaub (altho i and NY have no idea how good he is)...leinart jus feels like the right move bcaus its hard to rely on pennington.
-
shaub's a good qb that has a wealth of knowledge in th WCO. second to the OC in ATL. the falcons favor him highly as he has been good when he has played and he knows so much bout their offense. he's also a safety net for vick who's style of play can get him injured more frequently than other qb's.
-
the jets just got partick ramsey in a trade from the redskins.l
i wonder what all this does now. ramsey is a former 1st rounder who hasnt played up to his potential. do yall think the jets still go qb in draft?
-
i hope they do caus i dont see ramsey OR pennington as a solid starter, i see them as good backups, but i hope the Jets go for a QB, we need a QB we could be confident in bcaus if the Jets suckass again this year, the blame will all be on the organization for not getting a QB in the draft
