BUSTA RHYMES NEWS AND UPDATES // MAR 15, 2006
The next Busta Rhymes single, "This How We Do It Over Here," was produced by Dr. Dre and features Elliott. "It's specifically constructed to smash every club in existence," Rhymes says. He’s also proud of "Into the Storm," which features Wonder’s vocals, and the Dre-produced "Your Time Has Come."
"Dre put the track together using the sound of a shovel going into dirt, dirt being poured onto a coffin and a heartbeat as the drum sound," Rhymes says. "It’s about karma coming back to haunt you."
Lined up guests on the album including Stevie Wonder, the late Rick James, Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey and Eminem. He says he had 170 songs by the time he released the album’s first single, “Touch It,” in late 2005.
Busta Rhymes is also getting ready to heat things up at BET's Spring Bling party in Miami. The Spring Break television special tapes March 24-26 at Haulover Beach Park in Miami Beach, Florida. The tapings are open to the public and free tickets can be obtained through BET's official web site.

^^I'm telling you... it's gonna be your average album! I remember I was so fucking hyped about Bun B's album, but when I heard it it sounded like any other mixtape. I still think it does. :-X

Biggie, Nas, Raekwon, Em, Dre, Missy, Mariah, Rick James, Q Tip, Stevie Wonder , ODB , and probably Rah Digga or Spliff ..... indeed a compilation. After all 2001 is a compilation too ::) ;D. Naw seriously I'm still anticipated it a lot, time will tell .....
-
dope, i'm really looking forward to this album! Looks like this album might be droppin' after all. But true, way to many albums nowadays depend too heavy on guestappearences

probably but I still think there is a huge lack of 1 beatmaker-1 mc type of album in Hip Hop. Just 13 Dre beats and Busta rip em. I know, I'm dreamin , the Math is distributed by Interscope.... you know what it implies...

For Bun B standards and skills, it's just very average imo, pb is that 2/3 (I didn't say ALL) are wack ...

You just CAN'T do wrong when you have either of those guys on a record.
-
Rick James is like a god! any album wit him on is dope!
-
lets hear that dre single you know its gonna be heat 8)
-
rick james and stevie wonder are the kind of collabs that most hip-hop stars dream for, especially now rick james is actually dead. those tracks can't go wrong but i would of liked to see more dre production and less swizz beats touch it malarky on the album. id hope that isnt one of the better tracks on the cd although in theory it should be as it was the lead single. aftermath politics again.

I am the only one who thinks the name of the single will change? "This How We Do It Over Here" sounds wierd, I predict they will rename it to "Over Here"...

yep imagine announce it on the radios or tvs , this is too long

i'm thinkin this record is gonna be a sort of more east coast version of Restless.
-
Mariah Carey has good hooks, if it makes a better track, I'm all for her.. And that Dre using shovel and heartbeat sounds is genius (in today's music).
-
whats the source? props

Word. It'll probably be a decent album. I wish there weren't so many features.
-

probably second part of June

please u really all think busta need to rely on guest appearances to make a good record? maybe his track record in making albums isnt great but he still sick on the mic and now he got direction from someone who def knows how to make albums, alot of albums which are sick have had alot of guest appearances on them, i dont think it'll bring down the album at all, im just waiting to see how the record goes overall from top to bottom! cant wait though still! shits gonna be ill! i know busta is focused, nigga got like a million guest appearances on the touch it remix and not one of them niggaz could keep up with busta even though some came nice, non had a better verse than busta which is a good sign, eminem wasnt in his league on the hurt you joint, busta is ready!
another thing is blood money better drop soon cuz the buzz for big bang is bigger in my opinion for a album thats after that joint, i dont now the release date of blood money will have much bearing on the release of big bang unless its blood money blows up real big....cuz no doubt in my mind, the buzz for big bang has grown past blood money and with touch it remix, people are gettin hyped about big bang
oh and about the hate for swizz beats, some of y'all are crazy hatin on that beat , shits heat
-
yo anyone got a link to download the video for touch it remix?'

LOL, I knew this one cat on Soundclick a few years back who got pissed off when he heard Dre's beat on "Heat" from "GRODT" because he had done a similar kinda track before, where he had the sound of a slide cocking back and a round being fired replacing the standard drum beat. Shit, come to think of it, his beat sounded hella similar to "Heat". But of course, he couldn't do shit.
