I want another album with mellow vibes like Quik had on Balance and Options, the Funk quik like on "Pitch in on a party" and "Divorse Song".
Trauma was by far his worst album. He sounded weak on it, and it was far to commercial. All those guest appearences ruined it. He should have just had Wyclef, AMG, B-Real and thats it.
-
While I strongly disagree on Trauma being wack, I do hope that he puts more stuff out. Maybe after a while, you can't rush quality.
-
Trauma>>>>> Under Influence 8). All I know is that a HOB album and DVD are coming around summertime

Trauma is a dope album! Listen 2 the production on it! I hope he does release another album and I hope its half as good as trauma!

Trauma was his best album yet in modern day Hip Hop. Everything Quik touches is magic, but Trauma was his best effort cause its consistent from beginning to end. The production is crystal clear and he stepped his game up on the lyrics. I used to stay that Safe + Sound was my favorite Quik album but now it's hard to say cause I love Trauma so much, I never get tired of it. It would be hard to compare the two, but Trauma probably takes it.

Trauma is soooooooo fucking dope, songs on it are timeless, I don't skip any of em ! I hope he does release sum new shit soon

Trauma>>>>> Under Influence
without a doubt... Trauma is 10x the album UTI was...
-
trauma was like some universal shit

I didn't like "Trauma" the first time I heard it (doing songs with Chingy is a big no-no), but it's actually grown on me a bit. Even if it is basically a pop-album, it's done very well, which is a testament to Quik's versatility.
-
Trauma got old real quick for me. The only songs I still have in regular rotation are the tracks with Chingy and T.I.

Didn't he say that he rushed it to get released from his contract? Something like that I think. Funny, apart from the shitty skits it's a solid album straight through.

I agree even tho B&O and Under the Influence were still dope...
Trauma is fucking amazing i dunno how someone can say its wack...The production is unbeliavble and quik stepped up his flow and lyrics...To me its Quiks most complete album that he has been trying to make since day 1. I cant say its better the Rythm-al-ism or Safe & Sound cuz those were classics and those 2 albums had a special sound that was timeless espically Rythm-al-ism which is my favorite album ever....
-
B and Options is a dope album imo, can't understand negative comments. The only which is average for Quik standards is Under....

Trauma was so good... whoever thinks it's wack is a fool
while everyone else is on the decline in their careers, Quik put THAT out?!
Trauma was the best of '05 and it's just as good as his other albums...
it's different shit yet it's the same as Quik's always been, think about that...

Nah he wuz juz unhappy with the shit that was goin on around him..sayin that he was hangin around with Suga Free and all that bullshit. I could care less what the case is, to me Balance & Options is a fuckin musically-perfect album.

why does everyone keep saying trauma was too commercial ? what was commercial about it ? did he have snickers ad's running through it ?
-
Trauma was a big dissapointment i dont know what quik was thinkin on half of those tracks he did but there were 3 maybe 4 cool dope songs and thats it the whole album was not tight at all so all the die hard quik fans dont over do it and say it was a dope album theres a difference between 3 or 4 dope songs and a whole album being dope and Trauma unfornately wasn't dope all the way through !!!!!!!
Quik's last dope album was in 1998 - RHYTHM-LISM
-
I think Trauma will be looked back on as a classic album.
