Aight so my class just finished watching this Biggie and 2pac movie, pretty good documentary on both of their murders. My teacher gave us this assignment n she said we could use other sources so i was like shit who else to ask but DUBCC so any info yall can give me would be great heres the asignment:
Account for as many features of the crime of Biggie and Tupac’s murders utilizing Strain Theory. Think about:
The various players (corrupt police, members of Big’s and T’s inner circle)
The motives attached to all of the observable deviant behaviour.
for those that dont know what strain theory its defined in my textbook as "The proposition that people feel strain when they are exposed to cultural goals that they are unable to obtain because they do not have access culturally approved means of achieviing those goals"
Any info or help would be tight ,thanks in advance

U shud try pickin up the books bout the murders of both of them, theyll giv u sum more information into the suspects & motives etc. Also try Frank Alexanders book (ive not read it but it shud tell u sumfin).

lol yea i was surprised when she said were gonna watch a 2pac n biggie movie, i dont really got that much time to do all that research,plus its not a big assignment just 1page pointform just need some info,and i know alot of yall know ur shit so spit game 8)

2 put it v. simply David Mack, Rafael Perez & a couple of other cops were workin undercover security 4 Death Row as well as settin ppl up 2 go prison, sellin drugs n loads of other crooked shit. They all got caught tryin 2 rob a bank, eventually Perez became a grass n caused the Rampart scandal in the LAPD. They dint hav permission frm the cops 2 work 4 DR, they bin linked 2 Pacs killin etc but as no1 will talk nuffins ever bin proved.

thanks for the info,but what u mean by perez became a grass? n i thought the LAPD was involved in the murders?

Naw, frm wot ive heard, perez, mack n a few others were involved with DR, wen they all got arrested 4 robbin a bank, eventually the cops persuaded perez 2 grass on any other cops in the division who were crooked 2 get his sentence reduced, which ended up in the LAPD bein exposed big time as bent fuckers n loads of cops sacked n shit
So wen it came 2 cops bein linked 2 Pac or BIG the LAPD sort of swept it away 2 avoid more scandal 4 themselves.

mack and perez were both former LAPD officers who were employed privately by Suge for death Row.
also, in Pac's murder, if u dint already know, a theory about it is that he was murdered through a hit set up by suge. suge would have set the hit up because he was after all of pac's unreleased material from death row that he was planning to bring with him to Makaveli Records (new label). you might wonder why suge would even be stupid enough to set up a hit on the car he was in: it's the best alliby in the world. he hired professionals (which is apparent if you see the tight clump of bullet holes in pac's door), which dramatically decreased (if not eliminated) his risk of gettin popped.
thats one theory, maybe it can help with your strain theory somehow

another theory about pacs muder and probably the most accurate....
On the night of the shooting, 2pac, Suge, and his enteorugue went to see a Mike Tyson boxing match. Alot of Crips were there and Suge and his posse were affilated with the bloods. After the match as they were leaving, they saw Orlando Anderson AKA Baby Lane in the lobby and 2pac and his crew jumped him.(apparently they did this because on August of 1996 Baby Lane stole a death row chain from one of Death Row's personal). As 2pac and his crew left the MGM building, Baby Lane and fellow crip members were orgainzing a retaliaton on pac for jumping him. Then later that night the shooting happend once they spotted Pacs car who he was riding with suge...
Its very weird tho...I think Suge had a part in the murder i dunno. He didnt cooperate with the cops and he told pac to take off his bullet proof vest earlier. But why would suge put himself in harms way(flying bullets)

^It was a mafai hit...the crips retailiation was too organized for the crips gang...suge had mafia connects...plus david kenner...better believe he was corrupted...i read somewhere pac might have gotten killed alone just cuz he fired david kenner...i remember watchin a documentary...don't remember the title...ppl who worked for deathrow were sayin david kenner was the real leader of deathrow...
