Title: Dre being sued again
Post by: antt213 on February 22, 2002, 04:59:03 PM

Mary J. Blige
(Feb. 22, 2002) *Mary J. Blige is suiting up. No, not in a new pair of snakeskin boots, but for the courtroom. The singer, along with Dr. Dre, songwriter Scott Storch, and MCA Records, has been sued by Brought to Life Music Inc. for copyright-infringement.
The publishing company says that Blige's "Family Affair" is composed in part of a song they own.

The suit says that Brought to Life's Robert Dorsey Jr. played his composition "Sam Adams" for Storch, who gave a copy to Dre, who used it to produce "Family Affair."

Brought To Life is seeking production credit and profits from the song's sales, and legal fees.

this is the same story the other guy who's suing dre said

What?   It's more then a coincedence that two tracks that Scott Sorch co-produced have now caused lawsuits to be filed on both him and Dre.   It's obvious Sorch is jackin other peoples shit.  So Sorch should have to pay for it.  No diss though, both tracks, especially "X" were great, Sorch is a dope producer.

Of course he will, why shouldn't he want to work with Dre?
It's rather other producers that wouldn't want to Storch, because it's him doing the ripping obviously.
Dre/Storch is a perfect duo.

Yea, I forgot to tell yall, but "REady To Ride" is really somethin' I produced.  I let the homie have it, that's where I got all my money from.  He paid me off, loc, 50 G's.  Well worth it, too.
