Title: DUBCNN: BEHIND THE SCENES OF "REAL SOON" DPGC MUSIC VIDEO
Post by: We Fly High on March 30, 2006, 12:32:33 PM: Dubcnn recently had the opportunity to attend the video shoot for "Real Soon" which features Snoop Dogg, Daz, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, and Battlecat.
This song marked a milestone in the careers of the DPGC collective, as it was the first time in a very long while that all four were recording together. We were happy to be a part of this video shoot, and to witness the great music that they create.

The song and video was made as a dedication to Stanley Tookie Williams, who faced capital punishment on death row in December of last year. Snoop was very instrumental in rallying for Tookie's clemency, and had even made trips up north to the San Quentin prison. However, after all their combined efforts, the governor still denied clemency.

Make sure to go out and pick up the "Welcome 2 tha Chuuch-Da Album" from your local record store, and look out for upcoming solo albums from Kurupt, Daz (So So Gangsta), Snoop (Blue Carpet Treatment), and the entire DPGC collective. trust me they will. they got some big things on board for the DPGC album.

and drop some feedback people. let us know what you think of the footage and editing and all that. we tried to copy the flow of the song, and like match all the verses up.

Kinda "Making the Video"-style, but y'all don't have to stretch it to 30 mins or anything. Real nice you brought us this - I'll make that clear right now. It's just that, well, there really isn't much to the video content wise.

But if you'll get these "behind the scenes" gigs more in the future, this is definately a good start.

we actually did have a lot of commentary. unfortunately, after reviewing the footage, the conditions that it was filmed in, made a lot of the commentary very inaudible.
