WWE issued a text message to their mobile service subscribers today confirming that Randy Orton has been suspended from WWE for "unprofessional conduct."
Although the length of the suspension has not been confirmed, current rumors going around say that it is for 60 days.
Orton had been advertised to take on Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event at tonight's SmackDown tapings.

Man thats fucked up.
-
i wonder what he did lol
i heard he acts like an ass backstage a good amount of the time though
-
dunno, nothin else been posted yet, unless its an april fools that is days late......
-
damn thats messed up
-
At first I thought it had something to do with the new drug policy Wellness Program, but it says he's suspended for "unprofessional conduct". I wonder who's bag he took a shit in this time. :D
For real though, Smackdown can't afford to lose any more main event players...Batista's out, Orton's out, Taker's not a full-time wrestler nowadays... They should turn Chris Benoit heel and have him feud with Kurt Angle, maybe even have Benoit-Mysterio matches for the World Title, something different.
-
Uhm.. do ya´ll really think that this is legit?
Since when is the WWE suspending their top people? They would harm themselves more than Orton...especially in this situation after WM where he was part of one Champ match... In my opionion this is an angle.. He might miss the announced champ match on SD! and maybe even one week after that just to come back as ruthless Stone Cold Randy Orton who is a rebel without a cause.. lol.. no clue.. but this has to be an angle.. if not, then at least he won´t be SD champ for the next 2 months...
-
Good. Orton is wack. The non-charismatic son of a bitch is more entertaining backstage.
-
i wonder what he did lol
i heard he acts like an ass backstage a good amount of the time though
just by looking at him he looks like an asshole...
-
he's still suppose to be on Smackdown this week...he'll start serving the suspension on April 12th
-
Orton is boring.
-
Wrestling went down the drain because of muthafuckaz like this...
-
Orton is boring.
Yup. They're all just a bunch of broke down Rocky wanna-be's.

I noticed the "new school vs. old school" vibe going on at WrestleMania. Everyone would much rather cheer guys who have busted their ass for years ( Kurt Angle, Triple H ) than cheer for the new guys who haven't really earned their spots ( Randy Orton, John Cena ). If Orton wasn't Triple H's boy, there's no way he'd have a World Title reign on his resume. As far as Cena goes, he's been champ because of his popularity and marketable reasoning. Everyone's starting to see through that. Fans in cities like New York and Chicago will boo anyone they don't respect, no matter if they're a heel or a babyface.
-
I know, There's plenty of talented dudes that have been with the company for years and deserve a push, but they're matches only get shown on WWE.com. RVD is one of the most popular wrestlers out right now, and they continually pull the rug from under him. Booker T was once a threat in the world title scene, but now he wrestles the Boogeyman. Just because Benoit doesn't have mic skills, they shat on him. Same with Jericho (who probably won't come back), Christian, etc. etc.
All of those guy have put in work for decades, but they either get no love because of their mic skill or because they're not 7 feet tall and 500 pounds.
-

From what I remember, Jericho had mic skills...Remember all that Y2Jericho bs? LOL. He used to talk A LOT.
-
Yeah he's got that, but he doesn't use steroids and he's not 8 feet tall. Now the dude is doing improv comedy out in Hollywood lol.

Randy Orton’s Suspension & Major Heat With Taker
Posted by Tim Brown on 04/07/2006 at 03:10 AM
The PWTorch Newsletter is reporting that Randy Orton’s suspension is due to his behavior backstage at WrestleMania 22.
The issue with Orton seems to be mostly due to his attitude about how he is a main eventer and feeling that he does not have to follow the same rules as everyone else, as opposed to doing something to someone else or his health. The word going around right now is that Orton feels he is above the rules, and has had several issues in the past backstage, mainly with female co-workers and the way he talks to them.
Randy Orton is one of the least liked people backstage, and has the most heat of anyone right now. The Undertaker is said to despise Randy Orton, and it’s not just an issue with “serious people” not liking his attitude, as people who love to party like Ric Flair and Kurt Angle do not like him either.
This suspension is likely to be very good for locker room morale, and it doesn’t look like anyone will be missing him backstage.

THIS STUFF IS NOT REAL, NO ONE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED, ITS A STORYLINE

The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Randy Orton has been fined by WWE multiple times for using the “C-word” to insult women behind the scenes in WWE, however has not taken it seriously. His attitude towards WWE’s rules and punishment is said to be what got him suspended this time.
"He's lucky he didn't get fired. He has a lot of growing up to do. It was just stupid - disrespectful to the boys and the company." Says one WWE source about his latest incident. "Undertaker despises him, and Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, and even Triple H have grown tired of his act. They barely tolerate him."
Orton’s disrespectful treatment of women is said to be what has turned most people backstage against him. As previously reported, he is the most disliked person in the locker room right now.
-
Hahaha, HHH got tired of him so that's what happened. He'll probably be working Velocity for the next year.
-
... for using the “C-word” to insult women...
What´s the C-word? cockwhore?
-
Orton is the shit. I hope he'll get the belt soon. The midget having it is just a big joke.
-

LOL ;D
They should have kept the title on Angle.. and I think that Orton is really boring.. plus his finisher doesn´t suit him... bleh!

i really dont like sum of the things thts happening in the wwe with the belt situations rite now.
at wrestlemania i think sumthing went wrong where i think rey mysterio wasnt ment to win i think kurt angle was late in breaking up the count. he isnt tht good and the eddie thing is goin to far.
MnM are rubbish but they are tag team champions there arent enough proper tag teams, spirit squad winning the belts on raw ???
john cena alswo shouldnt be champion, triple h hasnt won a belt for over a year he kinda deserves the belt now
btw randy orton is pretty cool

-
I'm happy "the midget" got the belt. He's exciting to watch and he's new blood when it comes to holding the title. Orton puts me to sleep.
-
I never saw what was so special about orton, borin in the ring and on the mic
-
His cockyness is cool to me. He's one of my fav wrestlers in the WWE nowadays. You call Orton boring? Yeah....Mysterio isn't boring ::)..refering to Eddie in every possible way. If it wasn't for Eddie he would've never won the belt.
-
i wonder what they're gonna do about him being in the King of the Ring Tournament if he is suspended

im talking about in the ring buddy. Anyways, Orton's gimmick is a watered down version of The Rock.

It wasn´t even supposed to be funny or anything... I read it and was like.. hmm which word starts with C and is an insult to women... it just didn´t come to my mind.. lol
If that is really true though then Orton just became a bit cooler in my book.. lol :D
-
Word is that the suspension is indefinite with a 60 day minimum. The rumors claim that what he did was a "disaster". Homeboy is fucked. He'll definitely be jobbing to nobodies for the next year.
-
i wonder what they're gonna do about him being in the King of the Ring Tournament if he is suspended
when did the king of the ring stop?
this year will it be raw and smackdown wrestlers taking part in it?
-

That sucks how its starting with only 4 matches instead of 8 like what it used to be.. they should have 8 from raw and 8 from SD.

seems to only be smackdown, it could be that the KOTR will be the number contender for the title and be sumthin similar to the Money in the Bank maybe
as for wen did it stop, it stopped after 2002 when the brand split happened.
-
I say let Smackdown have the KOTR. They got shorthanded in talent so why not.
-

Orton's suspension starts the day after the Smackdown taping. So he's going to lose to Kurt Angle next week on Smackdown.
Main-event WWE SmackDown! wrestler Randy Orton was suspended indefinitely by WWE (with a sixty day minimum) this past week following a major incident that only worsened his already poor backstage reputation.
According to the Wrestling-Observer Newsletter, the final incident occurred at some point in Chicago—it is being called a "near disaster," and the feeling is that if Orton were not a top name, he would have been fired for his actions.
But by no means was this an isolated incident. It was Orton's behavior that initially prompted WWE management to give Kurt Angle the title vacated by Batista.
And, while Orton avoided a suspension due to being booked for the WrestleMania main-event, an incident after No Way Out forced WWE to nix giving him the title at the 'Mania pay-per-view.
These individual incidents only increased management's disapproval of Orton's behavior; he was specifically notorious for disrepecting female WWE workers.
Although the feeling is that by posting news of his suspension, WWE is practically confirming Randy Orton will come back, other insiders are not so sure that is the case and are even less sure that it will be in sixty days. There is already feeling within WWE that SmackDown! needs to create a new top heel; a returning Ken Kennedy could receive the chance to fill that slot

It's a shame that Orton's getting such special treatment. So if a guy like Carlito did what Orton did, Carlito would be fired, end of story...but Orton gets a mere suspension because he's a "top guy"? That's BS. His World Title reign \ face push bombed after Summerslam 2004, and from what we understand, no one likes the guy backstage, except maybe Triple H. WWE is dipping into the same political nonsense that ruined WCW back in the day. I don't even hate on Orton too much, he's had his moments depending on who he's working with, but overall...it seems like his ego will get the better of him. This is the same guy that joined the Marines only to go A.W.O.L. shortly afterward, getting himself in trouble with the U.S. military.
He needs to grow up.
-
Mr. Kennedy is dope. He's actually got his own personality (not ripping off The Rock like Orton) and he has a sick finisher (not ripping off the Diamond Cutter by.....you know who).

shame that randy orton has now broken his ankle at smackdown after kurt angle got him in the ankle lock, gone from bad to worse for orton now
-
His ankle is fine. It's all a part of story line. It would be interesting if it wasn;t though because that means Angle did it intentionally. Didn't they used to do that all the time back in the day?

Randy Orton Gone From WWE For Good?, TNA, & More
Posted by Tim Brown on 04/12/2006 at 03:47 PM
The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Randy Orton’s 60 day suspension, is actually an indefinite suspension. There are reports that he simply may not be brought back.
To keep him away from TNA, they may keep him under contract until his deal is over, while paying him the smallest amount of money possible. Orton would just have to stay at home collecting checks as he wouldn't be able to work anywhere else.
There are some in the company who believe that he would benefit from counseling.

i dunno if this is part of the angle or if its real ???

I sure as hell wouldn't mind sitting home collecting checks all day...
-
Damn, so he probably won't be back. Oh well, he wasn't cut for it anyways. He always got injured.
I really really wanna know what he did to fuck up so badly
-
wow what a fuck up, your not even a half decent wrestler and your boring on the mic but yet the wwf hands you everything and you fuck it up. Let him go to tna.
-
Yeah, I say let him go to TNA and be their problem. No one should bend over backwards for this guy, he's not worth it. Reminds me of Brock Lesnar, how he came in and for 2 years, all the top guys put him over only for him to leave the company hanging. Some rookies just weren't built to last.
-
Nah, they're gonna keep him in his contract. It's better to pay him then to give a talent they built up to TNA.
-
I always thought his finisher was shitty. It'd never work realistically, plus people just counter it all the time by shoving him out of the way.
-
There is no singular, standout reason as to why Randy Orton was suspended. In the past few years, he had been fined often, usually for $5,000 per offense. Despite the fines, he'd often joke about them. The fines have largely been a result of his treatment of women, both in and out of the company. Also, he's used rude, abrasive language to people who didn't deserve it, not to mention that he's displayed antisocial behavior. WWE may want Orton to undergo counseling, to get to the root of his social issues. He may even have to get medical help, if it is necessary.
Johnny Ace was said to be fed up with Orton's rude behavior, as it was said to be getting out of hand. Orton's always displayed erratic behavior, however, it started to really get out of control at the start of the year. Also, the fines weren't sending a message to him. The decision to suspend him was based on an incident that took place at the 3/28 Smackdown tapings in Kansas City, at the Kemper Arena. Orton flagrantly violated a very public company policy. It was a lot more serious than your typical dress code issue, and it had nothing to do with either creative or economic issues. Apparently, whatever he did, was the final straw. Whatever he did, has been done before in the past as a form of protest, however, nobody was so brazen to do it inside of a building with plenty of people potentially witnessing it, including people not employed by the company who happened to be in the building at the time. Orton was informed of the WWE's decision to suspend him after Wrestlemania.
Nobody went against Johnny Ace's decision to suspend him, including friends of Orton, who would normally not side with Johnny Ace. Although, these same people were surprised that WWE made the news of his suspension so public.
Orton's future in World Wrestling Entertainment will be decided upon in the next few weeks. It is likely that Johnny Ace and Vince McMahon will be discussing Orton's future in the WWE this week, and they may make some sort of decision. It should be noted that the day after Orton was informed of the WWE's decision to suspend him (the 4/4 Smackdown tapings), he seemed very interested in keeping his job.
