Title: The Eminem-show news
Post by: Jome on February 22, 2002, 03:39:52 PM
Em is currently finishing the pre-production on the album, and is cheduled to go into the studio with Dr. Dre. The plan is for Em and Dre to write that #1 hit pop-crossover single, and for Dre to work further on the tracks that Em has delivered. I have heard that 9 of the tracks that Eminem has done to this point that he has some of the most incredible pop/rap tracks AND the some of the most hard-core street, SLIM SHADY type tracks that he has ever done.
The song that is on the trailer for 8 Mile is a track called "Cleaning Out The Closet" and may possibly be the # 2 track off the new Eminem album, but it will also be included on the soundtrack for the movie as a remix.
The album is titled THE EMINEM SHOW RELEASED ON APRIL 29

THE SOUNDTRACK
The soundtrack is tentatively slated to include 3 Eminem tracks (2 previously unreleased tracks and a version of "Cleaning Out The Closet"). Other artists that are interested in being on the soundtrack are D12, Dr. Dre, Xzibit, Jay Z, Outcast, Ja Rule, Ludacris, DMX, Obie Trice (Shady Records), Snoop Dogg, and pretty well every other rapper around the globe. We will have to wait and see (and we all know we will not find out until the very last minute) what the tracklisting is for the final soundtrack.

Only 2 out of Eminem's 100 songs he's made in his carear have been radio/pop songs.   Compared to other rappers who spend whole albums try to make radio shit.  (Jay-Z)

This shit is going to be classic.

^good call^

all his other singles were just dope songs that caught on to people once they got radio play...i'm sure 90% of the songs on either one of his cd's could've been played on the radio as the next single and it would've caught on in a second, peace.
