Technical Foul on Bryant Is Voided

A technical foul on Kobe Bryant on Friday against Seattle has been rescinded by the league, leaving him three, not two, away from an automatic one-game suspension.
Bryant was called for the technical after putting the ball in the chest of referee Greg Willard a little too hard for Willard's liking. A league spokesman declined to comment, other than to confirm that the foul had been withdrawn.
Bryant, who now officially has 13 technical fouls, will be suspended without pay for a game if he picks up a 16th technical. Every two technical fouls beyond that (18, 20, 22) will also result in a one-game suspension without pay, as per guidelines of the progressive technical foul rule installed this season by the league.
"He's got to show restraint," Coach Phil Jackson said Tuesday. "His last one was ludicrous. He's kind of like a marked guy now."
Detroit Piston forward Rasheed Wallace was suspended for Tuesday's game against New Orleans after picking up his 16th technical foul in the Pistons' previous game.
The refs truely need to stop this shit...Give us a chance!

That particular ref was making bad calls against Van Exel all game long, until Van Exel finally attacked him and connected with a punch resulting in a fine + suspension.

the refs are killing these games. anywho who watched the detroit vs miami game the other night knows what i mean. 2 of the top teams in the league goin at it, but i couldnt even enjoy it cuz every 15 seconds you hear a whistle blowing
and fuck that 3 second violation!

The refs attitude towards Kobe is like "you think you're so big and tough and great huh? We'll see how great you are now, you whiney bitch..."
With LeBron, it's like "we must pave the way for, the great king has arrived and no one will mess with the king... we'll make SURE of it"

the nba is diff from what it was back in the 90's. yall remember those crazy games between the knicks and bulls and the pistons back then. the nba used to be so much more physical especially in the post. nowadays yall have cats like tony parker leading the league in fg %. ???. let the players play the game.
