Dre aint been working with any of the original dudes recently i mean i know hes workin on busta and game but dudes got time to cut at least one beat for the dpg project not to mention snoops solo release
-
i think his saving all the calabos for the detox...if that shit will ever come out. :-\
-
why would dre work with daz dillinger ever again, after he tried to take away his credabilty
its a shame daz's lies were obivous
dre obviously didnt need daz to set up and make aftermath what it is
-
Fill me in. What did or said Daz?
On Topic: Dre can't even make beats for the people on his label, so it is even harder to make beats for people outside his label.
-
dre is a lazy mothafucka

dre is a lazy mothafucka
LOL. for some reason when i read this it just cracked me the fuck up. it's all he had to say. haha
that fool does seem kinda lazy huh. who knows what he's doin though.
-
when dre left deathrow, daz said he produced alot of stuff and dre just took the credit
like on the chronic and on doggystyle
-
and he doesnt even give a beat to ice cube etc
Of course everything with dre name is usually good but
I think that dre is overrated and i dontthink he is even that a great of a producer himself
If you notice all the tracks on game's album that he produced had someone's name as well
Even that still d.r.e. beat on chronic 2001, scott storch was the one who played the keys
all the beats on chronic are just samples basically with drums and a few synths added here and there

Dre isn't overrated if you talk about the period 198? - 1996!
But if you look at 1996-2006 Dre is overrated!

if you're saying that "2001" is overrated i'll pay Suga Free to slap you !

You don't even have the money beyootch
-
I just dont think the authentic West Coast sound appeals to Dre anymore. He only wants to work with the biggest sellers, and the West just aint doing it. But, he has the power to make WC rappers move units and choses not too

The Dogg Pound's time has past, Dre prefers working with new artists.

like busta rhymes who's been around years before tha dogg pound.
or rakim, or king tee, new jacks...
i haven't seen the dpg producers, but i want to see atleast 1/2 of it done by cat, quik, warren g & maybe pooh. snoop can do whatever he wants with the rest.

The thing is Busta has changed with times while DPG are still dropping same songs with Battlecat production. Not to mention they both fell the fuck off lyrically.

I'll say it's overrated. I never felt it as much as most people. Most of the 2nd half of album was crap.
-
he is overrated because he dropped only 2 albums within 10 years and the albums were more like compilations
he has a lot of people who help him to make beats (scott storch played still dre keys, mel man helps, mike d something, etc etc)
Basically he doesnt do anything else but sit in the studio and make beats right? so how come we only hear a few beats each year?
Everyone says, oh he is way too busy to give me beats or yea he is a hard worker he doesnt go home and just sits and works there
If this was indeed true we wouldnt hear like 5 beats a year... i mean comon......
Dj quik and other producers release beats much more often and they are on the same caliber as dre (just different style)
-
It's funny how all the fans patiently waiting for new Dre-beats calls him a lazy mofucka, but the artists who work with him say he's an workoholic and perfectionist who never leaves the studio and works 24/7, and that it's so demanding to work with Dre because he never rests or takes a break.
And I can't see why anybody with ambitions would work with Daz or Kurupt again, it would take a miracle to resurrect their careers, and a even bigger miracle if they came up with any subject matter other than DPG shoutouts and recycled bars that doesn't rhyme any more.
-
DPG is the ILLEST DUO ever period.
Dre needs to keep workin wit people, he dosent have much loyalty, him and snoop need to work together
-

By hotter beats do you mean all kind of beats or partybeats?
Cause that makes a huge difference.

Yep, and i hope Kurupt is gonna be featured on "Detox".

The Dogg Pound's time has past, Dre prefers working with new artists.
Thats the truth. I don't know if their age or what but they still rap like it's the 90's man. They haven't been able to come out like they used to.
As for Dre being lazy.. what??? From every interview I've read that mentions Dre, they all say he's one of the hardest working dudes in the business. Remember he has to do normal businessman shit too. I'm sure its not easy running Aftermath and dealing with all the artists under the Aftermath umbrella.
-
Dre is no longer just a notorious producer, he is a business man. He doesn't wanna risk anything to tarnish his career. It's evident that he will only work with the best in the industry. If dre was like any other producer he would have beats in the bin to sell to the highest bidder. Dre is at the status where he gets to choose who he will sell his beats to. That's when you know you're the best producer in the game 8)
