Recently I had the opportunity to sit down with Prodigy of The Infamous Mobb Deep for an exclusive interview regarding their new upcoming album, “Blood Money”, which is set for release on G-Unit Records. The signing of Mobb Deep to G-Unit sparked some controversy for obvious reasons and made some of Mobb’s older fans angry; Prodigy had a few words in response to this and told us why he thinks signing to G-Unit was good for the future of Mobb Deep.
Other than this, Prodigy answered some of the questions that have been burning as of late; and also what he thought about the issue with the Mexican people, who state that Mobb Deep was being unfair to them in some of their videos.
Head over and check out the full interview in either text or audio!

Dubcnn: What's the status on the Riflemen project; is it still happening?
That was just an idea we was throwing around, but it was just an idea – that’s it really.
hmm... interesting...
-
The Rifleman project is DOA. Who woulda ever thought? ::)
Hope they're serious about putting out 40 Glocc's album, tho.
-
P didn't elaborate too much. But then again, its not like i believe half the shit that comes out of his mouth anyway. At least he was honest about the Riflemen project.
-
pee an hav were on mtv today an they asked how much of the production did havoc do on blood money and he said atleast... so much for efrains confirmed track listing of blood money with only 3 havoc produced tracks
-
thanks man, good interview!
-
Good work by DubCNN as usual, but P didn't really shed light on anything, much less give info on interesting future projects.

Good questions but the answers that were given were pretty shitty.

What is it with rappers giving half-assed answers instead of some answers backed by good arguments/facts/thoughts? Everytime I read an interview in one of my brother's rock music/metal magazines, most of the time those guys have some interesting things to say in interviews. Yet, only a handful of rappers are able to give good interviews. They should have a How To Deal With Interviews-class for rappers, for real.

Well, this ain't a magazine interview. Those are usually far more detailed and rappers take those a lot more seriously. They get interviews from random-ass websites all the time.

Props for East coast love.
