The Bloods, Crips, and several other Los Angeles street gangs are slated to engage in a heated stand off… on the microphone, that is.
Distributed through Universal Records via Robert W. Lewis’ Reputable Records and Big Chuck’s Drama Family Entertainment, the most deft MCs from 30 separate LA street gangs are ready to show listeners how to Rep Yo Set.
“We wanted to give back to the communities,” says Lewis about the double-disc, Rep Yo Set compilation, which is scheduled to hit stores Aug. 8. “Our urban communities have produced some of the best and most talented rappers out there, i.e. the Game and 50 Cent.
“Rep Yo Set is providing an opportunity to channel and redirect negative energy into something positive!”
A photo shoot for the Rep Yo Set album cover is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 15 at Phat Efx graphic designers in LA, and will feature numerous members of each gang.

Hmmm...I would assume it's like that, minus all the disses to other sets. But who knows, they could be dissin each other on there too. If they do, then it kinda defeats the purpose of havin the album to me. Those songs are always funny as hell though.

I agree with the people who said this sounds like "Bangin On Wax"...goes to show you the lack of originality these days. Rival gangs collaborating on rap albums ain't nothing new.
Like some other people said, I also think it's real ironic that these albums are supposed to promote peace between the rival hoods, yet it's all just these cats talking bout bangin on each other. Isn't that counter-productive right there?

GDs', maybe?

I heard a track from this shit. It's cool I guess. They're saying it's a project with all sets, no negativity towards each other.
