anyone who follows the "what you copped thread" and my "what the postman delivered" plus the odd threads when i get a rarity will know im an avid hiphop collector ;D AVID! ;D
here are my (now) 9 Shiny, dusted racks each holding 61 CDs! (Was complete luck that i did the reorganise and restack in Alphabetical order and they fit exactly!!)
Emptied my tower racks...added the 2 new racks to take new cds in order...

on top of that... the cupboard above has lots of cd mixtapes in (kept most out of the main collection)
2 stacks of vinyl at the top of my shelves in my PC space.. plus notice the full box of records under the desk..

yea seer, thought we must be similar now :) same here too alpha then chrono and all my Single & Mixtapes & promos are in a cupboard...not counted recently but about 70 mixtapes and 150 or so singles i guess

haha yea good point! you do indeed :) im starting to catalogue this week time permitting so i will have a full list!! 549 albums and im still missing LOADS! believe me, theres some i should slap myself for not having yet...but time and patience are key :)

damn rud that looks real tight.. exactly what i want to do to my room, been looking for some nice selves / cd racks so i can put all my albums on show, sucks having them scattered in various boxs or places in my room.

well when i had just 3 racks i did it every 10 cds or so cause it was easy to drop them down one or two slots but now its a massive operation i wait until like 100 cds are waiting...hence why the big job today! took me a couple of hours though :o - so itll be a while till the next operation!

Shit that's a lot. Probably around the same number of CDs that I own, but mine are all in dissaray. Someday I'll put them all on racks.

1. Count my CD's.
2. Buy 9 identical steel racks for said CD's.
3. Arrange CD's in Alphabetical order on my bed.
4. Add new CD's, in place, alphabetically, to stacks of CD's on my bed.
5. Dust CD racks.
6. Catalog my 500 some CD's.
7. Take pictures of my cd's.
8. Take pictures of CD's after they're in place.
Conclusion: RUD has ENTIRELY too much time on his hands!

Haha, when you work hard you can play hard ;D hehe - all in all remove, reorganise, restack and photos was about 2 hours...:) not too bad!!

I'm the same way though with different things, I'm turning into a packrat.

I'm a bit of a packrat.. but I ended up flooring out my folks loft and moving a lot of the crap from my room there.. lol..
I barely touch mine either... I rip it all to mp3 to listen to in the car or at work..

I need to get a CD holder but they are usually all racks, and I like to keep mine in order too, but racks are to much trouble when you want to put in a new one. With a shelf you can just slide them along.

thats true, ya cant listen to them all at once, but i have heard all (bar 23 new albums) them all once at least...i do a lot of driving so i take one or two out a day and listen to them on the road so i get through a lot :)

Daaaaaaaaaamn...you're insane. My parents are always complaining about the fact that I keep buying new CD's, but wait 'till they see your collection! Haha...and you're just 1 year older than me. Can't wait to see their faces ;D

One thing I regret in life is throwing out about 200 CD cases because I placed all the CD's into CD binders.
I kept the booklet & CD, but threw out the case and the backside art along with the case.
This included the original releases of the entire Death Row catalogue until The 7 Day Theory. :'(
But then again, I don't have space for all that shit and I have all my music in mp3 form so I don't ever do back into the "masters"... they are just collecting dust somewhere.

i have over 1000gb of scene rips.
thats 15 000 rips aka ~ 12 000 albums ...
