I know you can't judge a soda by it's can, seeing how a soda's can has nothing to do with it's taste. :D (other then telling you what flavor it is)
-
yeah, but how many products you buy because of the box or the cover? we're all victims of this one day or another

What ever happened to Surge
(http://members.tripod.com/jostaholic/caffeine/surge.jpg)
I used to get that all the time at Burger King :'(
-
Damn I forgot all about Pepsi Blue. I use to drink that stuff down in the10th grade. Everyday at lunch I had a Pepsi blue. Good stuff.
-
VV Here's from a guy who tried 'em VV
Pepsi Ice is just like Pepsi Blue, only that it feels colder in ur throat and has a minty flavor. And Pepsi Fire, I have tried twice and the second time I drank it was in the afternoon. It makes me sweat after drinking it and I was actually in an air-conditioned classroom. Wonder what contents it has that could make people sweat.
VV And an article about them VV
Pepsi lets you choose your own adventure with Fire and Ice
12-16-2004
Get fired up. Or chill out. Pepsi has launched two new fantastic colas in one go – Pepsi Fire and Pepsi Ice. Both are distinctive and different in taste, look and character, yet totally complementary.
Pepsi Fire is the great taste of Pepsi in a reddish cola, blended with exotic spices to set the adrenalin pumping, for those feeling adventurous and energetic. On the other extreme, Pepsi Ice is an icy blue cola, with a hint of mint that is refreshingly cool, for those who would like to relax and chill out. Together, Pepsi Fire and Pepsi Ice will appeal to Asians’ sense of “balance”. Together, Pepsi Fire & Pepsi Ice represent the “ying” and “yang” in life.
“Pepsi understands that each one of us is different. Pepsi Fire and Ice have been created to give Singaporeans the freedom of expression and to let them live life to the fullest choosing the adventures they want,” said Mick Duffy, Marketing Director, Southeast Asia, Pepsico International.
“The simultaneous launch of these two unique colas with maximum taste and maximum refreshment doubles the consumer excitement and reinforces Pepsi’s spirit of innovation and fun. Pepsi Fire and Ice truly bring to life Pepsi’s ‘Dare For More’ message that challenges consumers to go beyond the mundane and dare to create the life they want.”
To support the launch, a special blockbuster commercial featuring two of Asia’s biggest stars, Tata Young and Vaness Wu, was produced. In the commercial, Tata who represents the spirit of Pepsi Fire and Vaness as Pepsi Ice are transported to the lost civilization of the Aztecs.
The commercial leverages the popularity of modern stars in an epic and unique setting, an approach which has generated success and impact for Pepsi’s recent commercials such as “OK Corral” and “Footbattle” which featured football stars from Manchester United and Real Madrid, and “Gladiator” with stars Britney Spears, Beyonce, Pink and Enrique Iglesias.
Pepsi’s “Fire and Ice” commercial will be aired in two 30-second installments, with the first part scheduled to hit TV screens across Singapore from Thursday, 16 December on Channels 5 and 8. The second part will be screened from 25 December till the end of 2004. Thirty and 90-second versions of the commercial will also be shown on cable channels AXN and TVBS, cinemas and the videowall at Orchard Emerald.
Giant images of Tata and Vaness with Pepsi Fire and Ice will take over the façade of Orchard Cineleisure. The entire length of the MRT underpass at Tang’s will also be dressed up to celebrate the launch of Pepsi Fire and Ice.

Solution: Move to Norway, it's called URGE here, had it since 1996. 8)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surge
SURGE is a citrus soft drink first introduced in Norway, under the name Urge (1996), by the Coca-Cola Company to compete with Pepsi's Mountain Dew. It became very popular in Norway. 1997, Coca-Cola decided to start making it in USA under the name SURGE, although in Denmark and Sweden, the name remained URGE. In the USA, the product did very well for the first few years, but eventually started to slip in sales. The Coca-Cola company has since ceased production of this beverage in the USA, Denmark and Sweden in 2001. Norway is the only country where you can still buy this soft drink. SURGE was widely associated with the extreme sports lifestyle, with television commercials similar to those currently used by Mountain Dew. Expired cans and bottles of Surge now sell on eBay for high dollar amounts, including a reported $160.08 for a 12-pack sold in April 2005. Since 2002 a community of SURGE lovers have been built around savesurge.org, and have been widely credited for the release of Vault, Coke's new SURGE-like soda. The beginning of 2005 saw a campaign to bring SURGE back to the shelves of Wal-Mart; according to savesurge.org, this resulted in Wal-Mart executives contacting Coca-Cola about bringing the drink back, but the soft drink company elected not to make a deal.
There are a few myths about SURGE; chief among them is that Surge contains more caffeine than most other drinks (urban myths often hint that Surge was discontinued because it's caffeine was more than twice a cup of coffee). While Surge does contain more caffeine than some soft drinks, it contains a little less than its closest analogue, Mountain Dew. According to Coca-Cola's customer service in Norway, URGE contains 45% more caffeine than Coca-Cola. In Norway, a 0.5L bottle of Coca-Cola contains 10mg of caffeine, while a bottle of URGE contains 14.5mg of caffeine.
Originally URGE was available in Norway in 0.5L and 1.5L bottles, but in 1999 the 1.5L bottles were taken off the market, due to unsatisfactory sales. Supposedly, Urge 0.5L alone outsells all variations of Pepsi in 0.5L in Norway, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Hey Jome, in a hypothetical situation, would you ship me a box if I paid for shipping and all that?
"So I can say I am the only one in America to have it." ;D

My guess is that it is made Guam and Malaysia. But they don't have any money to ship it (because they are in G&M and Pepsi gave a limited budget), so they sell it locally. But since the people of G&M don't have any money they find it hard to make a profit, but it is the only certain way of breaking even. There stuck in a perpetual system just so that they won't lose any money, yet they won't make money either.

Beacuse the have no money. They can't provide a budget for tourism. ;D

How 'bout this new Coca-Cola Blak
(http://i10.ebayimg.com/01/i/06/5f/21/05_1.JPG)
Dec. 7 -- The Coca-Cola Company today announced that it will launch Coca-Cola Blak in January in France, the first of several countries -- including the United States -- that are expected to introduce the new cola-coffee beverage in 2006. Coca-Cola Blak is an invigorating and stimulating blend that has a perfect balance of the effervescent taste sensation of Coca-Cola and natural flavors, with real coffee. The lightly carbonated, mid-calorie beverage, which is designed to appeal to adult consumers, is yet another example how The Coca-Cola Company reaches out to new audiences and ddresses new beverage occasions. "Coca-Cola Blak is not just a flavor extension. It is a blend of unique Coke refreshment with the true essence of coffee and has a rich smooth texture and has a coffee-like froth when poured. We believe we have created a new category of soft drink -- an adult product in a carbonated beverage -- and a whole new drinking experience. This brand is ideal for any part of the day when people are looking for renewed energy or simply to take a break," said Marc Mathieu, vice president, Global Core Brands, The Coca-Cola Company. The launch will be supported by television, print, outdoor and in-store communication. Global advertising and creative for the brand is currently under development.

Well then basicly Surge and Moutain Dew is the same thing! :eh:
-
Mountain Dew contains tartrazine (“FD&C Yellow No. 5” in the US), which could lead to allergic reactions in some people. This has also led to an urban legend that the Yellow No. 5 in Mountain Dew reduces the sperm count of male drinkers. This is, however, false
