Most countries and languages have different names in other languages.

Most countries and languages have different names in other languages. For example, Germans call their country "Deutschland"; in English people say "Germany"; in France, it is called "Allemagne", and in Poland, "Niemcy".

^I didn't know Germay had so many names  :)

Greece - Ellas
Finland - Suomi
India - Bharat
Albania - Shqipëria
Egypt - Misr
Algeria - al-Jaza'ir
Japan - Nippon or Nihon
China - Zhōnggúo or Chung-kuo

Similarly, the native name of "Persia" is "Iran".

Well no, I dodn't know all the native names, but I thought it was granted that countries' names are most often totally different in the country's own language than in English.

Finland - Suomi
