Title: Korn To Release Costly 'Untouchables' May 14
Post by: Crenshaw_blvd on February 13, 2002, 05:56:47 PM
- Korn is set to release its fifth studio album, Untouchables, on May 14. The first single from the release is set to impact radio February 25, but the title of the song had not been announced as of press time.

Korn is set to tour Mexico, Central America, and South America in March, with a full North American slated for June.

Of the forthcoming album, Korn bassist Fieldy told LAUNCH that the production costs on Untouchables were astronomical. "We spent a lot of time on it, and money. We're up to like three-and-a-half million on it now, which is ridiculous for a record."

Untouchables will be Korn's first album since 1999's Issues. The time off between albums was due, in part, to a wrist injury suffered by drummer David Silveria.

korn-5 mics
life is peachy-3.5 mics
follow the leader 4.5 mics (the most influential modern rock album of the late 90's 2000's)
issues 4 mics (has some filler but the good outweights the bad)

i remember when issues came out...i was hypnotized by the song "wake up", what a great tune...awesome chorus:

i can't take no more, what are we fighting for
you are my brothers, each one i would die for
please just let it go, all our heads are ?
let's turn the page and remember what we came for

The new Korn album is set to drop in the month of May.  Word is RBX will be making a guest appearance on the album.  Also, DJ Quik might actually be joining them on their world tour scheduled to head out a little after the album drops.

hey big jake doggy dogg.  sorry when i said three. i forgot about issues.  i ment to say i have all four.  Im a huge korn fan like you.  Answer me something.  Whenever i listen to songs like "Its on"(FollowTheLeader), "Shot liver Medley"(SelfTitled), "Dirty"(Issues) and especially "got the life"  I'm thinking this so need to be sampled by Crooked I or something. Do you agree.  ? Freak on a leash is my fav song of all time.  ahead of any rap song.

ps korn is the reason dre 2001 didnt debut at #1 because they came out on the same day.  i remember checking the charts the day soundscan figures were released.
