Ras Kass album update

Thursday, February 14, 2002

(http://www.sonicnet.com/assetmedia/bands/images/501630_8766.gif) A lot of people have been mailing the site asking about Ras Kass' much delayed album "Van Gogh" and when will it drop. Well the latest news directly from Priority Records is that the recording of "Van Gogh" will be completed and mastered around April time. We have even better news too, Priority have reported that Ras has recorded joints with DJ Hi-Tek, Pharoahe Monch and the legendary DJ Premier. Last year, Prioroty reported that Ras was also recording tracks with Timbaland, Scott Storch and Dr. Dre, so it's looking like some big spending has gone into the new look album. Expect the album to drop in the Summer.

One question.

Is Van Gogh gonna be completly different to the Van Gogh bootlegg which was leaked onto the net (and i have  :)).

Or will be mostly new tracks with a few original tracks making a return?

;D

I believe this new Van Gogh will have totally new tracks cause the bootleg got such bad reviews. This new album sounds bangin production wise and we all know Rass is one of the best lyricist in the game

I just hope that if he does blow up, he doesn't turn gangsta or crip >:( cause he don't need that

This album could turn out to be a classic if it has the right beats and Ras goes all out.

IMO Ras is in the Top 3 best lyricts EVER.

Soul On Ice was just so good it was frightening. :o

Word, I think Ras is equal a lyricist as Nas, but they never get compared. Ras Kass is more likeable too, because he isn't a wannabe gangsta. He is very underrated, but sometimes he get a lil too complex, like you gotta have a dictionary next to you.
