So, Detox is "pushed back" again. Thats a shock.
Dr. Dre’s highly anticipated album "Detox" as well as Bishop Lamont’s Aftermath debut "The Reformation" is scheduled for a Summer/Fall of 2007 release. It’s currently being decided which of those two albums will be released first.
Eve’s Full Surface/Aftermath debut is planed for a winter of 2006/ early 2007 release and will feature production from Dr. Dre, Swizz Beats and Scott Storch.
Busta Rhymes' "The Big Bang" and Stat Quo’s "Statlanta" are confirmed for release this year. Dre has finished his production duties for Busta and Stat's Aftermath debuts and is currently working on "Detox", "The Reformation" and Snoop Dogg's "The Blue Carpet Treatment".

i need you to change your name

well snoop is likely to come out this year so we will hear dre in full effect in 2006 hopefully. as for detox and bishop that was expected but those dates are quite late. fall 2007 - this means late 2007 at the earliest most probably. if you read really closely between the lines it says that dr dre is is also working on the games next lp, or does it
oh and busta is due for release this year, LOL at that shit, hahaha
-
Detox hasn't been pushed back, they have never set a date ... people just make assumptions as to when it will be released then make a thread saying it has been pushed back. When it is done, Aftermath / Interscope will let everyone know the release date ... until there is an "official" release date, you can't keep making threads every few weeks saying "oh detox has been pushed back"
;D
-
I never really care for Aftermath releases until they actually come out.Anyways it's great to see Dre & Snoop working together again.
-
im just gonna asume detox will never come out. and hopefully one day ill be suprised and proved wrong

Good point. But although it wasn't an offical release date, it was said to come out this year. People wait for an offical release date from Interscope, then wait for the actual day it comes out 4 months later.

cant wait to hear some new Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg 8)

Notice how nothing was said about Game's album.....

I think like dude said above, Detox has never been official.
I don't believe Dre has even started working on it. He's likely still thinking of what he wants to do, getting ideas together. I'm sure he's in the studio every day or two making beats, but none of those will ever make the album. He won't release anything old, anyways, so even if he did record something now it'd be history by the time the album comes out. People get too hyped up for this stuff Dre takes about forever and a day to do any fucking thing at all.
The truth is the album will never live up to expectations, he was lucky to change the game a second time with 2001, I'm not so positive that there is a wildly new direction that he can take his music for the third time. I'm sure the album will be very, very good but I don't think it'll be as groundbreaking as his previous albums.
I was hyped about, oh, 5 years ago when Mellowman was saying that Dre was going to do orchestral funk. I think that would have worked but apparently it was just a flash in the pan. Imagine Dr. Dre producing rap songs that were funky like a lot of his work is anyways, with a full symphony behind it. Rap with an orchestra, but still have hiphop drums and bass. It's been done slightly but usually only with samples and never with a man like Dr. Dre with the golden ear composing what sounds hot and current. It would also finally give rap undisputed credibility.

No Game ? Why ? 50 cent that's it... he gonna prevent this album to come out.. believe it

Dont think so. Game will release an album just no so fast. Its been only a year since Doc was released. Usually Aftermath artists release album every 2 years, so hell probably release it in 2007.

Tired of waitin'...

Even if that would be true then Game just needz 2 leave Interscope and find himself a new distribution deal, shouldn't be that hard I think cause what major wouldn't want 2 put out a Game album and he could stil fuck wit Dre and Aftermath...

I doubt he would get to work with Dre if he left Interscope.
