Uefa honours Celtic legend Stein

Dr Jozef Venglos will make a Uefa presentation to Celtic in recognition of Jock Stein's role in the 1967 European Cup victory in Lisbon.

European football's governing body are paying a series of tributes to players and coaches who have made a special contribution to the competition.

The award by former Celtic boss Venglos takes place on the 50th anniversary of the European Cup.

Stein was manager as they became the first British side to win the trophy.

Venglos, who is the vice-chairman of the Uefa technical committee, will present the award to Lisbon Lions captain Billy McNeill prior to the game against Kilmarnock at Celtic Park on Wednesday.
