Post by: KVB on February 08, 2002, 07:54:55 PM
Yo, I got a song it's a must you download. It's called

Eminem & Dr. Dre "If I Get Locked Up"

from an Funkmaster Flex compilation. The beat is possibly the best hip-hop has ever seen, and Eminem display some of his finest lyrics with a furious flow. I just thought I would recommend this to you. It's a must in your MP3 collection, peace.

Yeah, he made some classic beats, this is one of them.
Em should work more with him. Rock was s'posed to work on the D12-album, but I neva heard more bout it.

Did Rockwilder produce that song ? :o :o
Shit, I didn't expect that. The song sounds exactly like an Dre-beat. And why the fuck is Dre on the song if he didn't produce it? And how come there ain't no Rockwilder shout-out? (there are a lot of them in the song)
I never liked Rockwilder's style/beats. Only track I really felt was Redman's "Let's Get Dirty".

Alright, it's my opinion. I only heard 7 of the listed tracks, most beats are good but nothing more.

Rocwilder was The Neptunes of 2000, he has kinda slowed down a bit, but he is definetly dope.  Cross between East & West coast beats.

Peep:  "Front 2 back"

..."If I Get Locked Up Tonight" sounds nothing like a Dre beat to me.

You obviously haven't listened to Dr. Dre much then...
Oh I forgot one other song which I liked - "Tha Liks - Run Wild"
Apparently you forgot that one, jome.  ::)You're missing out.
And yes, I've heard "Front 2 Back". I didn't like the beat though.

that song is straight heat

but that song doesn't sound a THING like a dre beat, none of the instrumentation , style, or timing sound Dre'ish

but yeah that song is pretty dope, didn't it come out back when the sslp was new?

Yeah, I missed that one. I just mentioned the tracks that came to mind. In addition to "Run wild" ft. Shea Feol or something similar, Rockwilder also laced Tha Liks ft. Butch Cassidy - "Sickness". Their both dope, check Butch Cassidy on the hook for "Sickness", way dope.
