Juve in crisis as board resigns
The entire Juventus board has resigned after days of press revelations over embarrassing telephone interceptions involving its top management.
Italy's Football Federation is probing Juve general manager Luciano Moggi over allegations of collusion in appointing referees for Juventus games.
The club plan to hold a shareholders meeting on 29 June to replace the outgoing board.
Juventus could clinch their second successive Serie A title on Sunday.
The president and vice-president of the Federation, Franco Carraro and Innocenzo Mazzini, have already resigned their positions in the wake of the publication of the taps.
Moggi is at the centre of the probes which are looking into the operation of the GEA management company headed by his son Alessandro, which controls the affairs of almost 200 players and coaches in Italy.
On Wednesday, judicial sources in Turin said that Juve CEO Antonio Giraudo was under investigation for false accounting relating to player transfer deals.
Giraudo and Moggi are both members of the Juventus board but it was not immediately clear how the resignation of the board would effect their full time positions with the club.

Sad days in Turin those days. The funny thing is that all this noise is based over NOTHING. But you know, we are Juventus.....

There's still nothing against us coming from judges, just speculations. And the same one is happening to AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio. For now. So what?

AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio are not nearly in the same shit as Juve is in, AC Milan will most likely not even get a scratch.
It's not speculations or rumours, the charges are being prepared against Juve's board as we speech, and especially against Luciano Moggi, backed up by a lot of evidence, taped phone calls, witnesses, etc., for crimes like match fixing, buying referees, handpicking referees, (9 referees & 11 linesmen in all), as well as buying journalists for positive articles, etc.
This will probably be a circus for the next 6 months.. expect Juve to appeal and protest against everything the investigation finds, next season seems certain to be delayed..
Juve is lucky if they're only degraded to Serie B, but Serie C1 or C2 looks more likely if they get convicted for all or most of the charges.
Milan will probably not be sanctioned, because Leonardo Meani is not a major player in Milan, he's not connected to the board, he's just some loose connection.
I thought you would know about all this, being from Italy.. :-\

^^ Ohh, almost forgot about illegal gambling, and kidnapping. 29 might turn 28.

Jome sorry i don't speak english well enought to argue about those facts. I just say to wait and see, cause i'm sure you'll be surprised to see how things really works here in Italy. Here it's totally different from where you live, here unfortunately the judges uses the media to make scandals over nothing to get those kind of reactions, when they don't have enought proofs in their hands to send somebody to jail (if they had all those proofs you said they have, why isn't Moggi in jail? Why are they talking about a period that goes from 2001 to 2005 and nobody is in jail yet? Shit the trial didn't even start, cause they need more proofs to make it start!). Anyway Jome like you probably know i'm a lawyer, and i'm close to one of the lawyers of Juventus. Just to prove it i'll tell you an anticipation in worldwide exclusive: tomorrow AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani will get convicted for all or most of the charges too. DubCC exclusive, lol. The shit is just not as easy as you made it look. You'll see. Just wait.

Well, we all know what happened to Genoa, and that was for fixing 1 game, not 7 games like Juve is being investigated for, in addition to all the other cases.
I think you're not being realistic about this at all, if you think this is a vicious media plot to frame Juventus and put them in a bad light, then that's pretty damn gullible.

Well, we all know what happened to Genoa
That was a totally different scenario. They found a bag full of money a president was giving to another one (Genoa's one) to buy a game. They stopped them while they were doing it. No theories, just the simple fact. So Genoa was punished. About Juventus (and the others..) they have not such a clear proof. They just think they did something, but they have to prove it. They say Moggi fixed some games, but they have no proofs. Phone calls aren't enought, in fact most of the times it happened the opposite Moggi talked about in them phone calls. I do agree Moggi talked too much, and with too many guys he shouldnt have convo's with, but that's it. He was Juventus' GM, he had those relationships cause he was the boss, you know what i mean? Anyway, once again, there are no proofs and they gotta prove everything yet. We're still in the phase of the trial where they're searching for proofs. It ain't started yet. So to jump on conclusions now is wrong.
and that was for fixing 1 game, not 7 games like Juve is being investigated for, in addition to all the other cases.
You know what? Juventus lost 2 of them games, and tied another one. They are investigating, hard. But it's not that they have proofs. Moggi is not in jail, lol.
I think you're not being realistic about this at all, if you think this is a vicious media plot to frame Juventus and put them in a bad light, then that's pretty damn gullible.
You forgot about the maxi doping trial? They called us doped for 7 (SEVEN) years. They accused us for 7 (SEVEN) years. Then, after 7 (SEVEN) years full of shit, a couple of months ago they said we're innocent and we never doped our players. It already happened, man. That's why i don't believe them. Here in Italy judges talks too much! Just keep in mind that to publish all those fact on the papers is HELLA ILLEGAL, damn! They do those things against Juventus every times. I'm not saying we're 100% innocent, but everything they say, they gotta prove it. And right now they have 0 proofs. So..
-
Lol, no wonder JUve was always winning with 1:0. And its funny how everybody was always saying how Juve is cheating but I just thought they was jealous. Guess not :D
-
Guilty till proven innocent, uh? ::)

Guilty till proven innocent, uh? ::)
Don't be childish. As a lawyer you should know that for lawyers it's not about turning towards the law, but about turning the law to your own favor. Juve is guilty. The only question now is if there is enough proof of that matter.
-
I've heard the same shit about the doping trial. Then, at the end of the day, the judges stated clearly not only it was impossible for them to prove we doped our players, but that there are evidences we didn't dope them at all. No, Juventus is NOT guilty till somebody proves it. Italy is the land of stupid things, and this trial publicized on the papers is just one of them. They have no proofs, let's see what they can prove, if they can. But right now (i've read all the phone convos transcriptions, etc..) there's just a tribunal, the one of Turin, where the judged said we are innocent. Then somebody send them private convos to the media, who started all this noise. But they're coming from a judge who said we are innocent, lol. Now there's another trial going on in Naples about this shit. But there's nothing that's circulating on the net that can justify the Serie B for us. Nothing.
P.S. As a lawyer i know that for prosecutors it's not about turning towards the law, but about turning the law to your own favor TOO. Juve is innocent till proven guilty.
