Title: The best ever diss song...
Post by: KVB on February 07, 2002, 03:58:55 AM
is...

Eminem & D-12 - "Quitter"

You might not believe me, but listen to this song first. Eminem throws a billion incredibly powerful punchlines that rip Everlast to pieces. Any victim of this attack would be mentally weakened, probably destroyed. It's lenght (6:44) filled with awesome aggressive lyricism which kills Whitey Ford makes it a brilliant song. D-12 come out so-so, but it's still the best diss song.

Quotes:

"First off, fuck your songs and the shit you say
Diss my wife, but at least I got a bitch, you gay
You claim to be a Muslim but you Irish White
So fuck you fat boy, drop the mic, let's fight
Plus I punch you in the chest, weak hearts I rip
Whitey Ford, forty and white, lethargic ass dickhead
I keep 'em comin while you runnin out of breath
Steady duckin while I'm punchin at your chest, you need to rest"

"Figure you can diss me to jump start your career
I punch you in your fuckin chest 'til your heart kicks in gear (bitch)
And fuck your underground buddy's nameless crew
Like I'ma say they names so they can be famous too"

"Got in his ass and now this faggot wanna mention me still
this ain't no freestyle battle Everlast gettin killed
with his chest open
Tryin to throw a fuckin punch, but you just chokin
Havin a stroke and now you learn why crackers never earned a dime
cause you SUCK motherfucker you should learn to rhyme"

I could quote his complete verse, but I'll leave that for you to explore. If you would argument, let's discuss it. Post your candidate with an explanation and quotes. I'll say this is the best diss song ever.

The Best 2 Diss Tracks In My Eyes:

2 Pac - "Hit 'Em Up" (Dissing Bad Boy)
Ice Cube - "No Vaseline" (Dissing N.W.A)

Yes, Eminem and D-12 rhymed over 2Pac's "Hit 'Em Up" beat
in the last part of this song. Check out the first quoted verse. (outtakes) Eminem made an hilarious remake of his lyrics.

Fuck Dre? You got to be fucking joking me? That was one of the weakest disses ever. Claiming that Dre is gay through a whole song is infact really gay.

Quitter is one of the best, it's litteraly packed with insults.
Hit 'em up is a good diss song, but it's not saying much more than, "fuck yo, yall deserve to die faggots". What makes it so powerful, is Pac's angry delivery.

I agree with KVB that  "Quitter" is one of the best diss-songs.

Quitter was great, but it's weakness was that it was all made up.  They didn't diss anything about him personally.

Ice Cube - No Vaseline is the greatest diss song of all time.  The reason was because Ice Cube dissed true facts about the various members, he was speakin' on the real things that went on in their lives... Plus, it was just HARD, and fast-paced.

my favorite is DJ Quik "Dollaz and sense".  Also,

what would U do? (Dogg Pound)
What would U do? (Eazy-E)
It'z on (Eazy)
Real muthaphuckin G's (Eazy)
No Vaseline (Cube)
Against all odds (Makaveli)

WTF ??? ??? Did you listen to the song? They did indeed diss him personally. They spoke about his heart-attacks, about him not being accepted in rap, crossed over to country and so on...listen to the song before you make stupid arguments like this.

It's On was funny, but Real Muthaphukkin' G'z killed Dre, with Dresta and B.G. Knoccout dropping tight ass shit.

Best is still Hit 'Em Up, 2Pac's delievery made you realize his complete and all out hate for Biggie, plus the rapping did have disses, it's the end that basically was cussing.

KVB, watch your tone.  Wasn't any use to call it a stupid argument, just becasue you couldn't understand it.

He called him a fag.  Said he was gonna kill him.  Spent most of the song bragging about how good he was himself.  He made fun of his album title.  He made fun of him having  a heart attack.  The *ONLY* legit attack he was made was when he said he switched over to country... the rest were just dissing immature stuff.

Ice Cube dissed Eazy E's money situation, made legitimate coments about Jerry Heller, a white jew, controlling 4 black guys in the group, and stealing their money.  He commented on how dre was better at producing then rapping.  It was a legit song.  Made sense.

Quitter was good, but it was immature.  It's like calling people gay, when you know they aren't...  "Fag, I'm gonna kill you!"  And D-12 talking about their gonna chop him up into pieces, etc.  Making fun of his heart attack, when anybody can have one, it's not a personality trait.  Immature stuff.

take it from the 'artist who is getting mocked' point of view. if i was everlast i wouldn't show my face to the public again. This has to be one of the most ferocious disses ever and yes there were personal disses in there.

'now we got the whole industry making fun of you eric, wheres your house of pain now, theres only 1 of you eric'

also peep commons diss to ice cube 'bitch in you' he gets personal and it seems like he is dissing the whole of gangsta rap and its fakeism.

Hmm... I thought a certain Ice Cube song was named "No Vaseline"... can you sense an reference to gay people...:: hmmm... and like Eminem said, the ultimate way of degregating a man, to strip him from his manhood, is to call him a faggot. Rappers seem to follow the trend.
And that fuckin' redneck probably is gay anyway.

If you doubt this song's personal disses, I could post its lyrics on this thread and highlight the personal disses. Or check out the example

That is a personal diss. If you think otherwise you don't know what the term 'personal diss' means.
Title: Re: The best ever diss song...
Post by: Trauma-san on February 08, 2002, 05:06:31 AM
No Vaseline wasn't a gay reference.  You missed the point.  Cube was saying that eazy was getting Screwed by his manager with No Vaseline.  In other words, taken advantage of, not that Eazy was a fag.

I guess it's just  a difference of opinion.  I feel "No Vaseline" was more intelligent than Quitter, which was just your normal disses.  Like I said, I think Quitter's a great diss song, one of the best, but No Vaseline's better.
