I been looking for years for the instrumental albums of Chronic, Doggystyle, All Eyez On Me, Makaveli etc....but they dont seem to exist. I can find a couple songs from each album but that's about it. What's the deal yo????

they would rather you buy the single AND the album...but remember were talking pre 1997.
the internet hip hop scene wasnt as developed and folks actually bought singles and the instrumentals were almost always on the b side of the single...also instrumental cds werent standard fare back then either.

But I got instrumental albums for Ready to Die(1994), Cuban Linx(95),The Infamous(95), 36 Chambers(93) among others

In the west, they were not as big into mixtapes back then as in the east. So in the east, DJs would request instrumentals, and labels would give them out because they knew that at that time, mix tapes were huge for artist to be heard on the streets. In the west, they had basically featured each other on each other's albums. So you'd heard Snoop on Dre's album, Mack 10 on Ice Cubes album, Coolio on WC's albums, and so on. So in the west, you got the instrumental on the single, but not of the album.

at least that would be something ''fresh'' unlike the greatest hits DR used to release

Death Row was more stingy with music. Especially Dre.
