Any advice on how to sample , chop up samples?

basically, you can just use limewire to collect a gang of old songs from every genre. then what i do just to chop em up is use acoustica mp3 audio mixer. its cheap, and u can find a serial for it pretty easy. easy to use, and once u find the sample u like and isolate it, just save it as a wav to your sequencer or whatever you have's sound bank.
