Title: Lyrics You Didn't Understand As A Kid
Post by: infinite59 on February 05, 2002, 03:56:51 AM: Yo... I just pulled out one of my old Ice Cube albums today.... I was listening to the classic song "Today Was A Good Day"... Haven't heard it in a long ass time..... I finally got the line

"Just wakin up in the morning got to thank god/
I don't know but today seems kinda odd/
No barkin from the dog/
No Smog/
And mamma cooked a breakfast with no HOG/"

Yo... I never understood as a kid why it mattered that his moms cooked a breakfast with no hog...lol,... but it's because he converted to the Nation of Islam around 1991, and Muslims don't eat pork..... And I can relate to that as well, because my parents still keep trying to feed me pork, and I have to make excuses, and I'm happy when I can get a good vegetarian me.

well.. this is a westcoast forum.. so, who knows? i dont really dig snoop's style, havent really liked anything since Doggfather, but who knows, he appeals to some people.
