Palace reject £8m bid for Johnson
Crystal Palace say they have turned down an £8m offer from Premiership side Bolton for striker Andy Johnson.
Bolton put the highest bid in for the 25-year-old who is also being chased by top-flight rivals Everton and Wigan.
"The bids from Wigan, Bolton and Everton were made in the last couple of weeks," Jordan told BBC Sport. "Bolton made the top bid of £8m."
"Everybody has a price, but he will be sold at the money I value him at," added Jordan.
Johnson is currently with England's World Cup squad after being named as one of the stand-by players.
Everton were interested in Johnson last summer, but he was persuaded to sign a new deal in a bid to ensure Palace made an instant return to the Premiership.
But Palace were consigned to another season in the Championship after their loss to Watford in the semi-final of the play-offs last season and clubs have quickly moved to try to lure Johnson.
Everton and Wigan are each believed to have tabled £7m offers for the player.
Johnson endured a frustrating season during the past campaign with injuries limiting his outings but did manage to score 15 league goals.
But he came to prominence after his 21 goals in the 2004/2005 Premiership season following a tally of 28 in Palace's previous promotion campaign.
"Would another season for Andrew in the Championship do him any good and, if we're talking money, would it do the club good if he's not setting the world alight next season," said Jordan.
"I think he is worth £20m, but in that valuation I'm probably in the minority of one," quipped Jordan.

thank fuck for that...we dont wanna be lashing 7 mil on this kid...yes he scores goals in past seasons but 15 in the championship plusn injuries is hardly awe inspiring - we could spend it more wisely elsewhere....they want at least 12m for him...haha good luck
-
Palace will fuck his career up if they don´t let him go coz he´s waaay to good to be playin with them.

Eating your words?

not in the slightest! a goal against lacklustre arsenal means nada! never been impressed, he's had an average season and i don't even believe he's good enough for england starting line up, sub yes, starter no.
-
LMAO!!!
Hes been the best striker in the country all season. Defenders are shit scared of his pace. Hes scored loads, won countless pens and had about 10 pens that should of been that wern't given. His pace just means defenders have to haul him to the ground to stop him.
Better than Anelka, put it that way.
-
i'm not comparing him to who we bought when he opted to go to you instead of us, i'm rating him as a premiership striker, nothing else. i honestly, in my opinion, think he is overrated, simple as that! yes he's scored some good goals and has pace but his all round game is lacking and i personally don't rate him! of course you will disagree your an everton fan and others will too but i just don't see it and i don't think he'll be worth remembering in years to come.

Snore to Rud!
-
haha, you know i love you bez! just disagree on this occasion! :-)
-
Are you drunk?
-
He is a good player and one that fits the way Everton play well, but he is not international level class and he dives way too much. He'll continue to do well for Everton but I feel he has pretty much met his level now he is there, a bigger club than them is never going to want him.
-
haha, no mac, not drunk, just known bez a long time! :-)
-
I meant Bez. He opened up 2 threads from ages ago coz he scored a last minute winner.

Hes been the best striker in the country all season.
better than drogba ?
I like johnson, i dont think he is international class though......yet.
-
Trust me, he will be great for England if he starts on Sat and plays where he plays for Everton.
I actually dont want him in there in case he gets injured.
No bigger club would want him. Didnt Wenger just say he wanted Johnson, you can be dam sure he is regretting not buying him right now. Even Man Utd. I bet Ferguson wishes he would of bought him.
