One of the major improvements is that you can send messages to people when theyre offline and theyll get them when they get online, you can also talk to people while your offline

They changed the name from MSN to WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER 8.0, they merged

y cant u see the display pics of ur contacts. i can only see them if i sort my contact list in close up detail or if im in a convo with them.
