Van Nistelrooy unsure on future

Ruud van Nistelrooy says he has had no indication from Manchester United that they want to sell him.

The Dutch striker is reported to have fallen out with boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

But asked if his Old Trafford career might be over, the 29-year-old told Dutch television: "You could have that feeling but it's not that certain.

"No-one has said that to me so far. What has happened is not a positive sign but as long as I can't do anything about it I won't be preoccupied."

Van Nistelrooy, who has scored 150 goals in 200 starts for United since joining five years ago, revealed he did not want to make any decisions about his future until after next month's World Cup.

The striker often had to settle for a place on the bench in the second half of last season and left United's final game against Charlton before kick-off.

Van Nistelrooy claims he was asked to leave the team hotel and was subsequently told he would not be allowed to appear in Roy Keane's testimonial.

The club are yet to comment on the situation, but after the Charlton game, Ferguson explained there had been "a couple of issues during the week that concerned us in terms of the spirit of the club".

That sucks for him.

I think it's another case of big-headedness from Alex Ferguson.  First Stam forced out, then Beckham, now RVN it seems.

This sucks big time! Nistelrooy is a legend at United and we want him to stay. He is still a gr8 player. He got left out of the team because Saha was in form, but Nistelrooy wasn't out of form so I dont understand how Fergie can justify leavin him out for so long. No wonder he got pissed off n had an arugment with fergie.

if they aint gonna play him they should let him go anywhere for a reasonable amount of money. he´s done so much for Man Utd that it would be stupid as hell to let him sit on the bench not doin shit.

According to the dutch press in the last couple of weeks these teams are interested:

Olympique Lyon
AC Milan if Shevchenko leaves
PSV - their bid was too low and I don't think they can afford a higher one

Yep, he prolly did. IMO he lost it with Stam and Beckham as well......But again, he has won EVERYTHING there is to win, who can argue with him?

i don't like Van Nistelrooy, but Ferguson is an idiot if he gets rid off him... 150 goals in 200 games is pretty fucking good.

Id be gutted if he left, it seems the reason Ferguson is gonna get rid of him is due to RVN having a negative effect on team spirit.

There was the argument he had with Ferdinand on the pitch in a friendly, he also apparently was a strong supporter of Roy Keane earlier in the season. He also had a fight with Ronaldo in training. The rumour was that he kept on calling Carlos Quiroz Ronaldo's dad, this was shortly after Ronaldo's father had diied.

Well he just scored his 26th goal for the national team in his 50th game. He's going on to break Kluivert's record of 40 if he keeps this up.
