i used to play daily but i've been havin such bad luck lately i dont play AT ALL anymore.

when u have:

AA vs KK and ure opponent catches a K
QQ vs JJ and ure opponent catches a J
KK vs QQ and ure opponent catches a Q

and when this happens in the space of 20 minutes, you never want to play the game ever ever again.

i play with my friends tho, online poker can be ridiculous at times.

yea i know what u mean about online its not realistic but i still pay sometimes, but usually just enter the free rolls these days

playing with mates with a few joints n beers is much more fun, plus i rarely lose unlike when i play online

i was in an online tournament me and another guy both went all in

AA vs KQ

flop came A3Q - so i'm sitting on trip aces, other guy has bottom pair  there is not really a chance of a flush

turn comes Q

river comes Q

monitor goes out the window

I usualy play on poker stars, i like that site, but if you lose your funds too quick, you can only re-up 3 times an hour.

but i know what you mean, i caught some bad hads before, i had jj and my opponent had ace 9, and the flop came A, J, A, we bot went all in then, he seen that i had the full house, then a 7 on the turn, and then im thinkin "i got this" then the river came out it was an ace. i lost about 40k that hand. i was sooo pissed. but i keep playin cuz most of the tournaments i play i at least make it in the top 10.

I play home games (9 or 10 man tourney, $20 buy-in) once a week.  I hit the casino and play the $1-$2 cash games every so often, there are some real fish there and people just straight up gambling.  Online, I play on PokerStars (under C2Knuckles), it's the best online poker site.

Everyone has bad beats stories, they happen to everyone, you just have to get over it.  I got rivered 5 times in one session, shit happends, take a few days off and don't play on tilt.

That's why you gotta play for real money.  They won't be doing that if it's for real and if they do, then that's good.

yeah but theres still alot of aggressive players that will bet big with nuthin and catch alot of early pots, but i've learned to be patient and take em out when they least expect.

wouldnt play unless money was involved... no point playing poker otherwise, especially hold'em, it's a gambling sport...

when the sun starts comin up, you expect people to start betting some nice figures..

As Beginner, NEVER play No'Limit......
Use small Limits 0.02 & 0.04 and start with a smart Bankroll Management.......Only climb up a limit if you have at least certain amount to play this level!
There are Books which needs to be studied otherwise you are becoming a fish for the others!
