Title: Top Rappers Crowd 'Waist Deep' Soundtrack
Post by: Damien J. on June 01, 2006, 08:58:09 PM
The soundtrack to the action thriller "Waist Deep," starring R&B singer Tyrese Gibson and rapper the Game, will be issued June 13 via Def Jam. The album features appearances by Ice Cube, Ghostface Killah, Redman, Nate Dogg and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, among others.

The Game will make his acting debut as a vicious criminal leader in the Rogue Pictures film, which arrives in theaters June 23. The movie revolves around an ex-con named O2 (Tyrese) who is forced to go outside the law when his young son Junior is kidnapped in a carjacking.

Glasses Malone appearing on a soundtrack for a movie Game is starring in? Do you think this means they patched everything up, or maybe Glasses is just looking at this from a business stand point which is this is going to be a mainstream opportunity for his music to be heard even more?

nah game doesn't have anything to do with this, he wanted to do an original album with original production/appearances.

The "Dolla Dolla Bill" track is (I THINK) the Mike Dean produced version that Bad Azz freestyled over on the Kurupt G-TV thing.  I think its not the 213 version, otherwise they would be pushing Snoops name on it.

this is what it says in the credits I got, so its most likely the 213 cut

I heard that there were some problems between Game and the soundtrack\movie execs, so no Game tracks were allowed on the soundtrack.

Game didn't want to make the soundstrack becuase they wouldn't pay BWS over a million to do it. And G-Malone and Game are cool.
