Title: New Ice Cube album randomly arrives at my doorstop! Yay yay!

It's times like this when being a freelance writer pays off. Woke up to find a package waiting for me, and opened it to discover the new Ice Cube album inside. Needless to say, I hadn't got around to ordering that album yet and was going to go cop it this Monday when it's released over here. Scoured the jiffy bag that held the CD to discover a press release from Virgin (UK distributors of the album I guess) and some contact information for the label.

Crazy. I didn't even request this album - not that I wouldn't have liked to get it, but because I had no idea how to get at Lench Mob since I didn't know Virgin were handling this album where I am. Frankly, I have no idea how the label tracked me down. So I didn't get it two months early, as is the case with some journalists receiving advances, but still...dope, free album! ;D Plus, it's always cool to receive some advance music - I've racked up quite a few advances now.

I'm off to listen to this beast, since I was saving myself for the UK release date.  :P

AllHipHop.com, "Hip Hop Connection", here (DubCNN.com), and I'm currently in contact with a few others at the moment. Done a few other one-offs in the past as well.

Dope album, nothing outstanding. Especially some production sounds out off place

Yup, got my copy this morning :)

The Virgin logo is on my copy too. Guess they helped him distribute it.

Good thing I only listened to a couple of the tracks that leaked and not the entire album even though I downloaded it. Ill go listen right now, and it's gonna have that fresh vibe that I love with new albums.
